30 minutes later and the car is cleaned off and another heavy layer of salt has been put down. Paper guy said the main roads are good but side streets are terrible. So I just have to get out of my apartments and down 100 yards of side street to my mom's work to be good.
My dearest FIL passed away yesterday...
He looked so peaceful and beautiful laying there.
But it was so sad, so unreal. I still cant belive it!
At the same time, I just know he is in a much better place now.
His mom passed away last year, and I'm sure she and his father
was greeting him when he left this earth.
I'm sure they have a reunion up there... ♥
We have a tough week in front of us..
I just wanted to say thank you, for all your prayers.
I love you guys! ♥

Made, I'm sorry to hear your Mom did have a mild stroke. she sounds very determined & you do also. w/ you by her side I'm sure she will do wonderfully. praying for you & your Mom.
My dear Solice, I am so sorry to hear of your fil's passing. I have had him & the family in my prayers. you are right, he is in a better place now. but I know it still hurts all of you. I will be praying for you & the family. we love you too Solice.

At times it seems like we wait the whole week for this.
And speaking of waiting, let's not wait another moment for the following:
Days to the Season: 264
Days to Christmas Day: 306
And look here. We are now under a week away from Milestone #3, the 300-day Christmas Day Window!
Remarkable -- most remarkable.
Somewhat warmer and sunny yesterday. A brief respite from the cold wet weather which has returned for today.
It is a damp 34 degrees here, currently in the chilly capital city.
Nevertheless, I shall try and have a Fabulous Friday.
How about you?

Thanks for thinking of us. We got 3 inches overnight, and are expecting @ 4 more throughout the day. The ice never completely melted underneath the snow from last time, so that's what they're saying to look out for.

Good morning everyone!
It is a mild day in Ottawa. Temperatures are about -5/-8c (23/18f). The 14 day forecast has us hovering around or above the freezing mark, too. Not bad. The best part? There is no snow in the forecast for today. Finally, after shoveling at least 25 CMs of snow for three weeks in a row, I can rest while watching the rink tonight. Perhaps, even skate. My doctor informed me that skating might be helpful to my knee.
My appointment last night went well. He informed me that my next appointment should not be for another three or four weeks. I believe that will make it my final checkup. As long as I do not have any setbacks, I will be extremely happy to finally get back on the field. I think an April return is quite realistic.
So... the more I think about the more I want to go. I don't think I can wait another week to visit Tinseltown. I've done the google maps and it's also only a 10-15 minute walk from my work. Therefore, I have made the decision to visit today at lunch! I have my phone with me, so I will take some pictures and post them on the weekend. This should be a magical experience. A great way to celebrate Friday. But, most of all, a great way to celebrate the eve of 10 months until Christmas Day!

Oh, that sounds so good (except you can have my banana cake---bananas are ick to me). I didn't get a proper dinner last night. I was at the office until past 7:30, and I got so hungry I had a snack from the vending machine. When I got home I had a cup of cocoa and went right to bed. Your soup and sandwich would have been perfect!
Today looks like it may be crazy. There's a major new campaign launching, in addition to work for other clients.
I am very sorry for your loss. I prayed for you this morning.

We're expecting 4 to 8 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday. Third weekend in a row we've had a snowstorm.
