Scary day today my brother in law who is the same age as me had a cardiac event today . He is in I.C.U now after having a cardiac cath done . Nothing like a mortality check.

Hello friends!!

Hope you're all having a relaxing evening, so far.

We just had a huge dinner, and I'm stuffed. We made fetuccine alfredo, a spinach salad, and some mozzerella garlic bread. Yum!

I got a call from Harlowe's vet, Dr. Jodie, and she is healthy! :thumbsup:
Her labs came back with all normal levels, and no problems with her liver function. Negative on heartworm, as well. Yippee!! So relieved. Thanks again for all of your thoughts & prayers for her.

And by the way, your dinner sounds delicious! I haven't made fettucini alfredo in a long time. Maybe I'll put it on my menu for next week.

Hello everyone. I hope you are all enjoying the week so far.

I went to the library last night to get some books for my Saint Nicholas capstone project. One of the books I checked out is "Christmas: A Candid History" by Bruce David Forbes. I'm looking forward to reading it. Any of you ever read it?

I bought that one last month, I have only read a few pages so far. It really caught my eye because the last one I read was called "The Battle For Christmas" by Steve Nissenbaum has so much historical information it makes your head spin.

Hello everyone! So far I have walked the dogs, straigtened up the house and ran a few errands. My clothes dryer broke Monday night but my husband was able to fix it last night. I'm catching up with the laundry right now, one day without the dryer and I can't believe the pile I have. Not too much else planned for the day. Two of my girls have work tonight so we will have an early dinner, spaghetti and meatballs. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Happy Pines day everyone.

We had more bad news this morning. We had a 17 yr old commit suicide Monday then last night a 15 yr old girl in our high school attempted suicide. She is in ICU in Asheville. Just like the first kid, she was struggling with a broken home. Her dad had an affair and moved in with his girlfriend abandoning his kids. Some folks should not have children. There are obviously a lot hurting kids out there. We live in a very small community, only 5,000 people in our whole county, so it hits everyone hard. Sorry to be a downer but the family covets your prayers.

Good evening, everyone!

My computer at work died this morning. All the USB ports stopped working, so no printer, keyboard or mouse....and no work! Ack! I have too much to do!

I could have used one of the older machines, but Microsoft has been pressuring our company to verify Genuine Microsoft copies (we have a lease agreement with them), and they charge us a fee for each computer we have in operation...or any computer that MIGHT operate. So, our powers-that-be made me remove the hard drives from the old computers around the office and destroy them. About two weeks too soon.

Now I have to wait on a Dell technician to drive from Savannah with a new motherboard, and hope that does the trick. The problem is, it won't happen tomorrow, and my doctor's appt is Thursday and I might have to stay in the hospital on Friday, so I don't know when I'll be working again.

I don't even mind that as much as not being around here during the day.

Oh well, I'll try to catch up tomorrow evening. I hope y'all have a great day tomorrow! cheesy

Hello everyone! Today is my mothers 71st birthday. We were able to spend most of the day together and had a really nice time. I'm so tired now and am happy to be settling down in my bed. I have both of my yorkies snuggled up to me and one of the cats just joined us. So cute. Anyway, I have been busy the past two days getting ready for moms birthday, I'm kind of looking forward to getting back to my regular routine tommorow. I hope everyone had a great day!

Just resting for what will be a long night at work. Still playing catch up from last weeks lost days. Today is always a hard day for me, it was 22 years ago today my mom lost her battle with cancer, I always get moody, and emotional on and around this day. Trying to keep myself calm by listening to some Christmas music, it always relaxes me the most. I should probably start to get ready for work.

My, it is cold out today! I was supposed to go to BC to do some shopping and check out what the competition has for sale but I decided to stay home with Mouse. She gets cold quick and I don't trust leaving the furnace to run unattended. So I am catching up on paper work and when that is done I will do some research - always have those two items to do in this job!
