Christmas Countdown - 2013

Just checking in trying to get caught up with all the posts and seeing what everyone's up to day. I had this really great idea yesterday, to try and tackle this huge pile of dirt and attempt to move it all over to my In-laws house. It was full of these large pieces of concrete, stones and clay and had been sittting there for about 5 years.

Needles to say, it was all by hand (shovel and wheelbarrow) and uphill to boot. Wheew, by the end of the day yesterday, I was about 1/3 of the way completed and so was I... I got up this morning and I forgot about how many muscles the human body has; ha-ha and everyone of them hurts! Oh baby, did a hut tub feel good to soak in! So today, I'm taking it a little easy, spending the day working on home videos again (still in my pj's - "what a bum", lol).

In a couple of hours, we are going to head over to Bertucci's for dinner (Oh, can't beat their brick oven fired thin crust pizzas) and besides, my son, his girlfriend and best friend all work there so we're going to go over there and harrass them for a little while, best of all he can wait on us, (he loves that part) lol... Then it will be on the road to drop my daughter back off at college later (spring break is over for her) and then hopefully, get back in time tonight to watch the Hobbit tonight; the mrs bought it for me yesterday.

Weekends, why can't they last longer? Man, it seems like they just fly by and before you know it, it's Monday morning and off to work again...Yuck; I think that should be outlawed....Oh well, I think a big bowl of ice cream and a movie is well deserved tonight.... :thumbsup:

Good afternoon, MMC friends! How are you all? I am well. Just sitting here relaxing, watching one of my favorite shows and going to catch up here a little bit. DH had to teach today and had to leave early, so the kids went with him to his parents house. They still aren't home yet...not sure when they will be.

What is new with all of you? Not much going on here. I am off tonight. We're supposed to get another snow storm. As of right now, they are calling for 3-6 inches of snow. I am glad I don't have to drive in it.

Any plans for tonight? I don't know if we have anything planned or not. We will probably just stay home and hang out.

Hello everybody! It's been a while since I posted in here, I hope everyone is well. I am good.

A work update: The guy I have worked with the last few years found another job and left. He and my supervisor couldn't get along, so it wasn't a surprise, it was coming for some time now. They do, however tell me it will be within the next couple of months that I get moved to the earlier shift, we shall see.

I hope everybody is having a great weekend!

I have been studying my codes, but am have a lot of trouble memorizing them, not sure what the issue is. Foggy brain most likely. I think part is neves too as I have to get a high score on the test if I want to keep this job.

Enough whining, back to the codes!

Thanks for the reminder, FTS. Yesterday I ordered National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Sleepless in Seattle, and You Got Mail. Now I need to order Santa Clause, and I think I will order, well, my mind just went blank--chemo brain strikes at the most inopportune times. I'll remember it later, I'm sure! What are some other Christmas movies I should order for my new portable DVD player? I have Elf, that much I remember, LOL!

good afternoon..well its near evening here!!...its 5pm!!..getting ready to cook dinner,i"m having chicken breast wrapped in bacon..roast potatoes,carrots..followed by lime cheesecake...yup baked by myself...hummm!!!..seawaters...christmas movies!!..how about THE CHRISTMAS SHOES...ERNEST SAVES CHRISTMAS...well better go and get dinner..catch yaa later this evening guys...:sparkle:

Yes. I still cannot remember the movie I was thinking about! So frustrating! I think it was along the lines of Ernest or Home Alone or One Magic Christmas or The Night They Saved Christmas. I'll get it one of these days. It was mentioned when we discussed movies last week (I think it was last week!).

I would love to find The Night They Saved Christmas on DVD, I occasionally find it on Ebay, but WAAAY to expensive for a used DVD.

Sounds like you could use some Icy Hot, I hope you enjoyed Bertucci's, we haven't been there since my oldest sons 2nd birthday which means it was just about 6 years ago.

I am not sure. It was in the discussion we had last week, talking about movies. I will have to go back through the posts and see if I recognize the name. I should have written it down. What is so funny is I just (about half an hour ago) bought a tablet and pen to set here by the computer to write notes and recommendations for myself as I read the posts!!! We have had so many good posts on movies, crocheting patterns, food, (etc.) lately that I didn't want to miss any. A day late and a dollar short, I guess, LOL!

Good evening,

I am still feeling pretty yucky, it is amazing how miserable you feel when your ears are blocked, I can't hear much and it is driving me nuts. I will probably head back to the Dr on Tuesday, see if there is anything he can do, prescribe, so on... We went to see The Croods for our niece's birthday, I didn't like the movie too much, give me the Flintstones any day. Then it was off to their house for pizza and cake, but I should have stayed home, but who can turn down pizza and cake. cheesy

I am feeling lousy, so I will probably say good night now, I do have to work, I can't afford to miss any more work time.

I bought one brand new off of Amazon a few years back. I will look to see if I can find any info. On who I bought it from...

Besides being a Christmas nut, I'm also a Charlie's Angels nut, I had to have it because I love Jacklyn Smith too
