Happy milestone day everyone. We continue to have fabulous weather. It has snowed since Sunday night. It is spring break at the college where I work and school is out because of the snow so my son and I get to chill at home. I feel bad for the wife since she still has to work. I walked with her down the mountain to the car and drove her to work this morning. Now Ethan and I are just watching old TV shows on Netflix and eating snowcream. Life is good...
Have a blessed day everyone. Here is a picture of our house this morning.![]()
Good Morning MMC!!!! The warm up continues today with a high in the low 40's predicted. It's hard to beleive that we had 8 inches of snow on Monday and I can see the grass already in some spots. It will probably all be gone by the end of the day. There is talk that we may see more next monday though. I don't see much happening around here today. I woke up with a sinus headache, stuffed up nose, and sore throat. I would blame CAH but I think it may have something to do with the 6 hours I spent outside shoveling snow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!
Sometimes you just need to "crash."
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't have a smart phone. Here's how outdated my cell is: my grandma made fun of it. Yep, that's right. We were at a family event and I wanted to know the score of a game. My grandma said, "Just look it up on your phone." I showed her my phone and told her I couldn't and she actually chuckled as she handed me hers and said, "Oh honey, here, just use mine."
That's pretty bad when your own grandma "out techs" you.
Now I have to take Lulu to the groomer. She hates being left there, but she MUST have a haircut. I'll drop her off at 11:30 and pick her up at 1:30 when I go to lunch. BRB!
That's funny! I didn't catch that. If Christmas blossoms is a threat, it's not a very intimindating one! :lol:
{{ OK, Carl. OK. }}
Carl wants it pointed out that he came up with that one.
{{ Satisfied now, Mr. Camel, sir? }}
I don't want to be connected 24/7 either. It's just a "me thing", works out for some but not for me. When I am on the run my focus is on who I am with and what I am doing.
The only advantage for us to get an iPhone, at the moment, is for traveling. If we need some type of information on the road, we can look it up and it will be nice to also have online access to upload coupons to scan at certain locations. This has been frustrating on the run. Here in town we would have to go home to print out a coupon then head back out, now we can just upload it on the spot to use it right then and there. Most businesses seem to be going this route, along with paper coupons, (not a real big deal but what a nice convenience to have that on us!) We also want this for the camera/video purpose to store what we want while traveling. On a road trip - laptop, camera and old phone works perfect. When flying, going by train or ship, I want to travel very lightly without a lot to drag around, I am a "one suitcase" type person when traveling this way. It is convenient to have a "3 in 1" type device. It's just something we are looking into at the moment and the timing seems about right since Wayne and I travel a few times a year. I will still take the laptop on road trips (over pack on road trips :winkbut cannot connect until I am somewhere. The iPhone (or something similar) will be helpful when we can't stop somewhere to access internet. As far as being connected 24/7, I agree with you, just not my interest at the moment. Information purposes while traveling, hotel, restaurants, and more will be very handy and we wish we would have had that on our last couple of vacations.
You can tell I have been really thinking this over! I hate to jump into something without making sure I have a use for it. I have not wanted any of this until our last few vacations when we had a need for it. We are still taking our time to decide on it.
My 3 year old granddaughter saw this picture and said, "Grandma, click on it, I want to hear her talk"!

Lucky you! I don't remember the last time I was able to say that!Good afternoon ... not much going on here .. both kids have little league practice tonight.
I still need to get to the store to finish up getting stuff for Easter, dont have much left to get thankfully.
The snow we got the other day is all gone .. it was pretty while it lasted. We didnt get much snow this year. Not even enough to make a snowman. Hopefully next year will be better.
Have a great day gang.
2 1/2 hours then have to leave for work.
Coffee break time, having a caramel macchiato. Yum. Hope everyone is having a great afternoon so far!
