Hmmm, maybe we should start planning an MMC convention in Indy for 2015 if you will be there from the West Coast. Middle part of the country. cheesy

That is a very good idea, if something happened to me, MMC would probably be the last place my wife would think of informing.

I better rent a room at the hotel too then, I don't know if I'll be in any shape to drive after all of that drinking!!!!!!!!!

Hey, you'll be here for the 4th!!!! Hopefully there won't be another drought and you'll be to see the fireworks show they put off downtown.

The loneliness was almost unbearable. It ended up a fiasco, though, and Kane eventually came home: He graduated when he was 17, so I had to sign paperwork for him to enter the service. He left for boot camp. They lost ALL his paperwork. They kept him in San Franciso--no money, only the clothes on his back, and hoped they would find the paperwork so they could process him through. No luck. But I was FURIOUS that he was alone with NOTHING, and they did not even inform me. He was finally allowed to call me and I sent him money so he could eat and buy some underwear. They finally sent him home and wanted me to re-sign the papers. I told them NO WAY. If they treated him like that before he was even sworn in, I could only imagine what they would do afterwards.

Oh no, that sounded terrible for the both of you. I hope that everything then, worked out for the best for both of you. (and a ps for his mom, you were given another chance to keep holding on to your son....good for you!):wink:

I watched the same game. They played great and had a great pitching performance. Pedroia had a heck of a game, too.

Oh thank you so much, that is very thoughtful of you to do so! I sure will! I think I'm starting to feel more nervous than he is, most of it is of course on my end, is from the fact that he has never been away before and the second part is on me wondering just how mom is going to react when reality hits her that he going away for awhile...

I know Zach got a little bummed out that I have to get my surgery on my knee on the day before he ships out, so I will not be able to see him off at the airport. But, I sat down and talked to for a little while about it and I told him that I will be here at the house to see him off that morning and that my thoughts will be with him every day while he is away. He is looking to me for alot of advise since I went thru the process myself so, we been talking up a storm lately...
 
It has to be tough, letting your son go off like that. Thank him on my behalf for his service!
 
Good evening, friends~

Adrian & I are finally home. We had a great trip on our way to my parents yesterday, and a wonderful time with them, but the trip to his family's house & home today was very unnerving. Bad weather & roads, accidents and cars in the ditch,interstate closed down, etc. We are exhausted & happy to be home safe.

We are going to eat, unpack, and go to bed early.

Thinking of you guys, hope you all had a nice weekend!!

Good Sunday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday was a busy day. I trimmed back the shrubs, then I loaded the inoperable lawn mower on a trailer and took it to my brother's shop. We need to order a part for it, so we then put new brakes on my truck and turned the brake rotors. After that, we worked on the Camaro, making modifications to the heads on the motor.

This morning we were late for church (again!), then had lunch with Nancy's parents. I finally found a cooking method I enjoy for fish...blackened. I love that! Finally, I can eat those nasty ol' fish!

My mom took off for an unplanned visit to the Smoky Mountains, just down the road from MGramsey. I have to admit, I'm starting to get a little jealous.

Good afternoon, MMC!

I am not as sniffle-ly today as I was yesterday as I only have to deal with my normal seasonal allergies and not the basement damp. Yes, the water is way down and I don't have to pump it out any more - yay! It was a nice day out today - the sun was out for a bit and I took a short walk. The daffodils are popping up and so are the snowdrops - there will be flowers soon! I am going to spend the rest of the evening doing some paperwork and reading - should be very relaxing!

Be MERRY and safe!
 
What up everyone...ready to go to bed...bbq was nice...some fun and embarrasing pics prove it on fb...
Not tired at all...but i gotta rest for tomorrow
