Normally the Elks have reservations at many of the hotels around the cities where the conventions are held. If anyone is serious about meeting up in Indy, I would suggest looking for reservations now. I will be staying with the California-Hawaii delegation. All the states will be assigned a specific hotel. I will try to find out where they will be. The hotels do not reserve all the rooms just for Elks; there are still rooms available for regular customers. Oh, man. I hope many of you can be there. This will be so much fun!!!

I was looking online this morning and you can't book that far in advance yet. Once you find out where you are going to be, let me know and that will help us figure out if we want everyone to try for the same hotel or maybe just the same area. (Also I'll let you know if you really want to stay in that area. If it's West or East, it might be iffy.)

i like them to we made up a abba contribute band one night for charity sung 10 abba songs should have seen the cut of me dressed up anetta ( cant spell it ) but raised £1200 but never lived it down for 2 months lol

Wow it looks like there was 2 explosions at the Boston marathon finish line...looks like some folks got injured..the pictures look really bad...it just happened..gosh I hope this is not too bad.! anyways this is not a good thing to see just as you turn on the tv!!

I've got it on too. It looks pretty bad. Fox just said 2 confirmed dead and some of the video's showed what appeared to be amputee's.

Okay so that is what I saw..the guy in the wheelchair I kind of thought looked like his leg was missing but I did not know If my eyes were playing tricks on me. He must have been in shock because he looked pretty calm..wow bad stuff.

Yeah it sounds like one explosion to draw the first responders in and then a second to injure as many people as possible.

Overcast here in northern California; cool, also. We will be making a quick trip to Chico to pick up a few things and to return a rolling cart to Office Depot. It was missing the lid, so I will get another new one. So sad about the marathon. What in the world is wrong with people?

I had a great night's sleep, and the sun is shining, so it's the beginning of a great day!

We are supposed to have rain & snow showers Wednesday through Friday, with highs around 40 degrees. I am keeping my fingers crossed for 50's next week!!

I need to walk Har while the weather is nice, study, and catch up on dusting.

I know we have some MMC folks in Mass. Is everyone from the area on MMC accounting for?

If this was terrorist,not saying it is but IF it is I think it would be the first attack since 9/11. Then you have to determine was it domestic or international ie.9/11 style attack. There was the London subway bombings which I was living there then,then the Madrid subway attacks. It could be something totally innocent like a gas line rupture but it does not look like it to me. It stinks we like in a world like this nowadays. Im glad there is still good in the world like Christmas!!! We need all the cheer we can get!
Brandi has not come home yet but she grew up in Boston,sure she will be interested in this story. MerryCarey do you work downtown?? they said they have shut down all cell service in Boston right now.

July 2015, Ryan. I am scheduled to be in Indianapolis for an Elks convention. Made and I have been corresponding about a get-together, and this seemed like a good idea. That way, we could all meet at a fairly centralized place, and it's a trip that I plan to make, even if no one else can make it. Made and I can party for everyone in that case, LOL!!!

Thanks! So nothing this summer, hugh? 2015 would give me time to save and plan.

I'm not sure if MerryCarey and her husband work in Boston or not but I think they do. I know Xmas is further west.

I am 90 miles west of Boston, MerryCarey was flying home from Maryland today. I hope she got in and home already if she was flying in to Logan in Boston. Boston is being evacuated as we speak, this is scary stuff, they found two more explosive devices at the finish line area and are disarming them now.
