Christmas Countdown - 2013

We're at Dulles airport waiting at the gate for our flight to Boston. They just announced it'll be delayed, but we should be leaving around 8 p.m. I'm assuming from this that Logan is open, as the plane we will be boarding departed from there. We heard the news as we were driving to the airport. Mr. used to work near there, but a couple years ago his office moved to a different part of the city. Shocking and frightening.
 
Wi-fi is getting slow here, must be a lot of people logged on for news. I'm going to log off now.

They just said an 8 year old was among the dead in Boston...that is terrible and it makes me so angry. I hope they find who did this and put them away forever..My dinner is ready then I have to put the kids to bed so I may not be around anymore...God bless everyone here and in Boston tonight...have a great night everyone

Howdy everyone! Busy weekend, especially at work! Everyone was coming in to buy up lots of plants for their veggie gardens. I was exhausted by the time I got home.

I was busy with my granddaughter today. She is not feeling too well. I hope she will be better by tomorrow so she don't have to go to the doctor.

that happens here about mid May, unless it starts to stay warm sooner, but most do not plant before May 24.
Hope your granddaughter is feeling better soon!

They start planting potatoes and onions in January here. All the other veggies start selling in late February then the sales really kick up by late March. We will be extremely busy up until late May. It starts slowing down in June then just too hot by July. We sell out of plants by then. That's southern planting for ya! =)

Good evening everyone. I just finished cleaning up the kitchen a little while ago, the girls decided they wanted to bake cookies. We made Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies. I had never heard of this recipe until my daughter told me about it. We put a double stuff Oreo inside of chocolate chip cookie dough. I can't eat them because I'm gluten free but they look good. And I baked homemade chicken pot pies for dinner, haven't made those in a while. My husband is doing some electrical work in the kitchen right now, just waiting for him to finish up so I could help him clean before I go to sleep.
