Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Terrible events yesterday in Boston. Whether they think they can effect some political change or just because they think it'll make them famous, there are always losers who want to hurt innocent people. But as Coach pointed out, there are many more who want to help. Bless their hearts.

I finally got my mower running yesterday. All it took was a $2.75 part. It's amazing how something so small can shut you down.

I won't have much time to work on the Camaro this week. Our band has a gig this weekend! It's been a long time since we were all able to get together to play somewhere, so it'll be a lot of fun. It's an outdoor concert in a park here in Claxton, a bring your own picnic kind of afternoon. I love that stuff!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Glad you got your mower fixed, and that it wasn't an expensive part!

I wish I could come hear your band play!! It sounds like a great time :)
Have fun!!!

Btw, what type of music do you play? And what's your band's name?

xx

If you can see at the bottom of the window in my livingroom, this is my little dog, Chico that waits for me to come home. He does this every time I am out for the day.

Then there is Charlie my cat who is sitting in his cat tree hanging his head out of the blinds sound asleep. You can tell he is so "excited" to see me! Lol!

Well I just realized with everything going on that I didn't say anything about today being my 4 year anniversary. So I just want to take a moment to thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful family. Y'all mean the world to me!!!

so glad you are here!

I'm want to share some thoughts with you....that express how I feel right now....I read something earlier this afternoon....had a conversation with my Dad...they are not really mine, I'm just going to put them in my words....so allow me to vent if you will...

What happened today in Boston was tragic....gut-wrenching even....my Pop said that it's a shame what the world is coming to and how tragic it is...and in all of his infinite wisdom (and he is much smarter than me)....I told him I agreed...and disagreed.

Today, a Twitter and Facebook account that says it is run by Clark Griswold (it's funny and I wish there was more of that in our world) had a great post. It said something like this...."Some people say humanity is sick. The bombers are sick. The humanity is the outpouring of people who helped."

While it scares me that I'm bringing a kid into this world, it still comforts me to know that there were people running towards the explosion after it occured.....all to help.

God bless Boston.
I read that too as well as the one Made put on from Mr Rogers, something we sometimes forget, the amazing people who run towards the danger to help others.
There are so many more wonderful people in this world than those who want to hurt.

ok, you are going to have to bring them all along for our get together in Indy 2015, must also include a big Christmas Ball and dance in this event!

love it, laughed to because I took this picture yesterday of my Penny waiting at the basement window for me to come back...

At least Penny looks excited! :D My little doggy sits at the window barking and Charlie just sleeps through it. I will come in with my dogs jumping all over me then I look at my sleeping Charlie and say, "Calm down, Charlie, don't get too excited now"! LOL!!!

He really is a very lovable kitty. I call him my rag doll, he just flops in my arms when I pick him up.

Ok. We named the band right out of high school (ahem...a few years ago) and we later wished we had put more thought into it, but everyone around here knows us by the name: Backroads.

Not that it's a bad name, but it sounds more like country music. We do play a few country songs, but we're mostly beach music & southern rock.

Here's picture of us playing a festival on River Street in Savannah a few years ago.
