everybody....i´m going to bed.....might write a little from there......I saw the Hobbit today....it was nice....but it didn´t catch m e the way lord of the rings did.....but i´m sure....i will watch it a second time....and i will love it.....lol
Good afternoon everyone! Just getting home and undressed out of uniform and getting comfy. I am also waiting for the FedEx truck to come and we seem to always be at the end of a route. UPS also.lol Sometimes UPS comes as late as 7pm here fedex usually alittle quicker. The weather is warming up. This morning was cloudy windy and cool,about an hour ago the sun came out and warmed up the temps to around 72F. Well wifey gets home soon too with my buddies I missed them a lot today so I can't wait to see them. Have a great afternoon everyone I have a lot of catching up here!

Aww so cute and so sweet and true. I think I am stll in shock,I hope that she knows how much she meant to all of us...I think about her everyday and every day it sinks in more and more that she is gone
I am so sorry to hear this... I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. It seems so unfair though with 10 years history I just think it's a little shady.Everything works out though so who knows maybe something 10x better is going to come along. In the meantime I hope you get to feeling better!!!hang in there!!

Good afternoon everyone! I'm trying so hard to cut back on how much coffee I drink. I am so addicted to those flavored coffee creamers and I know they can't be good for me. Only had one cup today, but I could really, really go for a cup right now! My daughter picked up a couple of job applications yesterday, I'm going to take her to drop them off in a few minutes. She originally told me that she wasn't happy with her present job, but she confessed and told me she gave notice already. She told me her supervisor is picking on her. Not sure what to believe, grrrrrr. Anyway, hoping she finds something soon, my husband kind of has a rule that you can't quit unless you have something else lined up. I'm not telling him yet, lol. Hoping she finds something soon! Hope everyone is having a great day so far!!!
Oh I know about the flavored coffee creamers. Around Christmas I get the pumpkin spice and a lot of the other ones...I don't even drink coffee except at the holidays...
My dad also had rules like your hubby does...and I remember in high school even we had to have jobs if we wanted a car. Looking back my dad could have bought us all new cars with cash if he wanted...Luckily he wanted to teach us good work ethics..I hated it then but am so grateful now..We all had used second hand cars but they were nice too. And we took care of em cause we worked for every penny of it! I hope your Dtr find a better job soon!

I don't know what the laws are in Canada, but in the U.S., if you're an "employee at will" (I think was the term), not under a contract with specific terms, either the employer or the employee can quit with no reason required. I know this because Mr. was terminated some years ago for a health issue that required a couple months' recuperation, during which he couldn't do the work he was hired for. So they dumped him. We were going to take the employer to court until our lawyer explained the facts to us. It was a tough time.
This is slightly off-topic, but it still makes me seethe. When I was diagnosed with cancer in the 1980s, I had to immediately undergo a week's worth of tests at various medical centers to "stage" the cancer so doctors could plan its treatment, so I was away from the office for that workweek. When I got back, my boss's boss sat me down and said, "You know, we could terminate you for being absent more than three days without prior approval." I HAD notified them where I was and why. They didn't terminate me, but I was aghast at their tactlessness when I was still struggling with the diagnosis of a life-threatening disease. And they made me use vacation time for chemo days. Brandi just came home and it looks like she had a bad Monday. I have begun to hate late semesters...that is when her life get stressful and then in turn mine does as well. All of her students cramming in extra credit at the last minute. The list goes on and on.. My hats are off to any and all teachers out there. They are truly special people. So we are going to pop open a good bottle of wine and order Indian cuisine. (not that we have to have booze to handle a bad day)
but that is what is on the menu for tonight. We might get in the hot tub later then it's off to bed...If I don't get a chance to come back tonight I want to tell everyone to have a good evening and we have Monday over with finally!!!
