Good afternoon!
Well it turned out to be a really nice day. Its sunny and in the upper 50's, the sun feels nice. I walked the dogs a couple of times, hoping to get one more in after dinner. The girls are all home, nobody has to work tonight. They are patiently waiting for Ellen to come on. She has Justin Timberlake on for the entire hour. They think he's "hot". Haha
Hope everyone is having a great day so far!

Emski, where in NC are you from? I am originally from Cramerton/McAdenville in Gaston County and have lived in California since I graduated East Carolina University in 1969. There are several North Carolinians(North Cackalackians) on the forum.

I am SO tired today. I may just have to let the kids watch some Christmas movies so I can nap.

It definitely was, and when you know the traditions and rituals and what they signify, it is even more special.

Sounds like a very moving experience ... such meaningful traditions and rituals.

Happy to see you here! Hope you will visit often. Many of us visit every day.

Well I am done with my kitchen duties and waiting for brandi. I think we are having chicken parm. with some kind of potatos,I had the pleasure of peeling them and slicing them up. I think I will kick back and watch the Idiot box(ias my dear grandfather use to say)that was his way of saying television!

It's been slammin' at the office this week. I was fried when I got home yesterday and almost lay down for a nap, but I had to fold laundry and get some other things done instead. No time to breathe today until about 1:45---then I took my lunch, found an unoccupied room (I usually eat at my desk, but today I wanted to get away from there) to eat and read a little, then took a walk around the block. I'm still tired, but at least I got a mental break. Just the same, I'd be happy to lie down on the floor and take a nap if it wouldn't look so ridiculous. (We have an open office---no cubicles.)

We recently got a DVD box set of "The Two Ronnies," a British comedy-variety show that Mr. and I saw occasionally on PBS a couple (ahem) decades ago. We've been watching one or two episodes every day that we have the time. Something to look forward to after a busy workday---laughing with my Mr.!

I have had days like that! enjoy your DVD's

And we're home. I'll be back in a bit with a full update.

You are right about that, but was this an emergency surgery, or did she know about it in advance? Did she give you a discount for the inconvenience and use of gas?

Her husband had surgery on his hand. Obviously I understand her not being there and it is perfectly fine with me that I had to reschedule. But the girls in the salon had my number and should have called to let me know before I drove all the way there.

I like those shows, too, but I like American Restoration even more!

Pawn Stars is over now...and I am watching American Pickers....I love that even more....cos they are just driving around and decide where to go from a gut feeling....You learn a bit about the people....just luv it
