Christmas Countdown - 2013

Thank you, mgramsey. I really am. I missed it here for many years, and love being back. I am going to take Harlowe for a walk & enjoy it She is itching to get out there & play!

I just hope my parents can still come.

We now have a winter storm warning, heavy snow, and they're concerned about the power lines & possible power outages.

If it's too dangerous for my parents to travel, Harlowe & I will just turn on the fireplace & watch a Christmas movie.

Now that sounds like a plan.... That is by far, one of my most favorite things to do while the snow is falling down outside and that is to snuggle up on the couch with a fire in the fireplace, a hot cup of tea and a christmas movie playing... Ahhhhh, that does sound sooo nice and relaxing!!!! Have fun and enjoy.....

First song I heard on MCR this morning was "Let It Snow!"

Ohhh, that is very nice looking! I'm going on my second year now in a row without any major snowfall (over 2" in my area) and I feel I am officially coming down with snow deprivation, or snow withdraws lol!
I'm sooo happy for you to be back in your elements where that you can feel truely at home.....

I fell hard in love with that movie when I was 7 years old. I drew endless pictures of those cats, and knew all their names. I still have the record album with the songs, I think.

Ooh, me too!!! I love that movie and the soundtrack as well. My kids used to watch that one endlessly when they were little and I believe the songs were etched into my brain. I can hear them now; "Everybody wants to be a cat, because a cat's the only cat who knows where it's at. Everybody's pickin' up on that feline beat, cause everything else is obsolete...."

Kinda makes you feel like a kid again, doesn't it? lol...

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't get to post anything last night, it was kind of hectic around here. My father has been having pain in one of his legs for a couple of days and it got worse yesterday so he went in to see his doctor. After running a couple of tests the doctor decided he wanted him to go straight in to a hospital in the city where he would be able to see a specialist. I don't have all the details because as of last night they were still waiting for more test results. All I know is he has some kind of blockage and is having a procedure done this morning. My mom and brother are taking a ride back in to the city to be there. As soon as they get more information they are going to call me. His doctor here was very concerned about how bad the circulation was in that leg. So if you could please send up a quick prayer for my daddy I would really appreciate it xo

He is in my thoughts, HMG.

Woke up early with a whopper of a headache ... luckily, there was time enough to take a couple of tablets and sleep for another hour before the alarm went off. It left me feeling tired and vague, though. It'll be a tough workday---and we have a meeting going over changes to the 401(k) plan, to boot. Just one of those days when everything seems more difficult than it ought to be.

But I'm otherwise healthy, and the weather is beautiful, so I mustn't complain!

I hope the headache stays away the rest of the day.

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another hot day here with a high of 78 predicted. After 3 days of the pollen count being off the charts, my allergies have finally decided to take the bait and go crazy. I can't let that get me down though. I have lots to do. Including doing the dishes since CAH has been AWOL the last couple of days. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you need to hire one of those nannies to do your dishes. cheesy

Just sitting back and relaxing watching The Bad News Bears: Breaking Training, it is not as good as the original. It is 75*f bright and sunny, though I am jealous of all that snow you are getting Snowflake. I've got to finish up my laundry, and tidy up a little.
