I recognized Ray. I am getting good at that. When I first heard the music, I thought, I;ll bet that's Roy!!!

Good afternoon,

Another Wednesday night of work ahead of me, but the payoff is the day off tomorrow. Watching Spaceballs now, I wanted to watch something Christmassy but it's hard to turn down a Mel Brooks classic. My Bruins start their playoff run tonight, once again I am hoping for a long run from them.

Here is a song for the first of May, another month done, another closer to Christmas.

Yes, Seawaters, that is Roy Wood singing the chorus. He also wrote this song.

Have a great day!!!

I am glad she has Tony's in her life! That would definitely make ME feel better! I think that is the best ice cream ever!!!

You're right, I'm grateful for the home health nurses. Without them, mom would be in a nursing home. Now she gets to live at home. She even goes to Tony's a couple of days a week for a hotdog and ice cream.

Sorry to hear you are under the weather, Shellie. You are smart to take precautions. Can someone else help with the animals?

Am great now but eamon has it now and he is worst than me . he nevr wood lay down to anything but he had to today. thank god so far my uncle has not took it
I think once it comes into the house there is not way of keeping it away
I have been using hand cleaner all the time with the animals
I do have a wee baby bird 2 weeks old that am feeding that i wood worry about more but so far so good.

Hope all is good is good with you

That sounds like a beautiful place to be, MC. You were sure lucky!

This takes me back ... my grandparents lived next door, and their entire backyard was a garden, bisected by a narrow path. They had been farmers until they sold their farm in 1946 and moved to town, but they never gave up the farm life. They grew all sorts of vegetables; the vegetable patches were bordered with beautiful flowers; they even had a green apple tree and a small arbor of Concord grapes in the backyard, and my grandfather glassed in an old shed and installed an oil heater so he could grow plants in his "greenhouse" throughout the winter.

Me, the first generation off the farm ... I can't grow a thing. Our flower edgings are barren, and I wouldn't presume to try to grow vegetables. Only one house plant in my care has ever survived and thrived (a Christmas cactus), yet my grandfather was the "plant whisperer" of the neighborhood. His back-porch windows were full of robust African violets that just wouldn't thrive for anyone else. A quiet man, but full of everyday wisdom.

Glad you are better. You are wise to use sanitizer. Everything is better. I think I have a handle on the pain.

You are sure busy. Hope you enjoy your food, which sounds marvelous, by the way!!! I will probably have to pick up Made in the Lear and make it in time for dinner, LOL!

Hello everyone!
It's going to be sunny today with temperatures in the lower 60's. I walked the dogs and started some chores already this morning. And I just finished cooking some Italian sausage and frying meatballs. I am going to make a pot of sauce after I run a few errands. I need to go to the Hallmark store for a couple of cards and I'm going to stop at Barnes and Noble since its in the same shopping center. Not really looking for anything specific, but I always love to stop in and walk around.
I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Wow! That is one heck of a deal!

Oh, yeah, we love visiting the Biltmore House. We went on Father's Day the last time. They let fathers and children in free, so we just bought tickets for Nancy & mom. Good deal!

How nice of them to offer to let you use your vacation time...LOL!

I saw this on the weather and instantly thought about you! isn't that amazing for May!!! I hope you enjoy it surely this has to be the last snow for yall!! In just 4 to5 months you could be getting it again!

I can't believe it is warmer in Massachusetts than is Southern Ga but today is one of those rare days ! We are 65F and did not get out of the 60's today with cloudy wet conditions! I like neat things like that! Glad you had good weather today it was perfect for a day off!

It got up to 82*f by late afternoon, I am just thankful there was no humidity.

Right about Dukes! I ordered some online a few years ago. Of course it's all gone!!!

thanks for the heads up on the cd. I will be sure to get it.

that's great ur daughter can find a job. My daughter has been every where w/ no luck yet. there's so many looking around here. Our unemployment rate is so bad, we have executives taking jobs in production or fast food restaurants. Nafta really did do us in-in the South!!!

oh girl, a mater san-mich (yes, spelled right) w/ Dukes mayo, yummmm!

I am sure you will enjoy the time with your dad. So sorry about your grandma. It is so hard to see that happen.

Good morning everyone!

A beautiful morning in Ottawa. The sun is shining and temperatures are already 13 (mid 50s). And the temperature will only increase. Highs are forecasted into the mid 20s/70s. A perfect day!

Speaking of a perfect day, yesterday was also very enjoyable. Kim and I went to the Works for dinner. We both had delicious burgers. I actually wanted a homecooked meal for my birthday, but she spent so much time shopping (for my presents) that she was too hungry to make a meal! ...Maybe she'll make it tonight! Kim bought me a nice t-shirt, shorts and shoes. I needed each. I am thrilled with the gifts. Other than that, I received cards from my mom and grandmother. My grandma isn't doing very well, so she wasn't able to sign the card. That is slightly hard to take, but I'm glad she asked my mom to purchase me a card for my birthday. She will forever be very thoughtful!

I spoke with my dad for a quick moment last night. He's coming up on Friday. As I mentioned, it will be great to see him again. He seemed a little excited to come up. Both Kim and Mike are away for much of this weekend, so my dad and I will have plenty of time to hangout and do whatever.... such as watch plenty of hockey!

I should get back to work. I have acupuncture today and am very hopeful for a positive result. They have me trying everything! Have a great Wednesday, everyone. It's May. It's Pines Day. Not much more we could ask for!

It is horrible. Hubby says it makes him crazy and interferes with his attitude. Trust me, he is right!!! At school, the kids are really hard to handle when those winds come up!

That wind sounds nerve wracking. Hope it passes soon so you can get some rest!

Good evening, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well.

Mouse update: she has a tumor in her jaw. It will not go away, but the vets are giving her meds to shrink/keep it at bay. She had two teeth pulled so she should not be in any pain. I have to take her in for shots on Saturday and will get further instructions then. She is in good spirits, but very hungry. I am not supposed to feed her until tomorrow and then it will not be her favorite food as she needs to heal a bit. Although it wasn't the news I wanted, I am happy that she will be around a while longer yet. the vets are take her to love cats, so I know she is getting the best possible care.

Thank you all so very much for the thoughts and prayers for her - you, my friends, rock! {{{HUGS}}}

Be MERRY and safe!!!

You rock, too, Meceka! I am sure you will take good care of Mouse. Prayers for her!

Wow, that IS etched in your brain! Those are the lyrics, all right!
The voice of good ol' boy Phil Harris as O'Malley!
Darnit, now I'm going to have to drag out the LP and listen to it again! Maybe I should digitize it while I'm at it so I can have MP3s.
The LP actually has other Disney cat songs on it, too. A while back I found an MP3 of one of them---Louis Prima singing "That Darn Cat."

I have this LP, too. cheesy
