GM all my wonderful friends. Been a busy week at work since having to do double shifts. The silver lining of course will be when i get all that extra money in the next paycheck. So the wife and i decided to finally take a mini vacation this coming OCT it will be our 7 th year together and 5 yr Anniversary. So the fun begins on where we should go. Ive been pushing to stay in the Kings Christmas Suite at the Christmas inn in pigeon forge. Hope she will let me choose this place. Just don't think she would be able to handle it for a full week lol.

How high do the temps normally get where you live? Is it very humid as it is in the Piedmont?

It depends on your elevation. Summer temps usually top out in the mid 80s at our house. It is rare for us to hit 90, I only remember it happening a few of times in 14 years here. With all the tree cover, we only get a couple of hours of sunlight on our house. Summer lows are usually in the low 60s. It can get humid but as bad as Gastonia.

I am feeling a little stressed but I will be okay! Yesterday my dog at the vet, today my cat, tomorrow my mom's surgery. It's just surgery on her ankle but I cannot help but feel stressed and nervous! I tell myself, "Stop it"! I will just be glad when she is out of surgery and on the road to recovery! She has so much trouble sitting still and actually still doing whatever kind of exercise she is able to even though her ankle is giving her problems. With her upbeat attitude on recovering I am sure she will do well! I really do appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers!

Christmas cheer will get us through it all!!! :-D

Wow! I cannot thank you all enough for your kind words and prayers. I told my mom you all sent a good word and she is thankful! Today is my mom's surgery and I actually don't feel quite as stressed as I have been. I think I felt all the good vibes and prayers you all have sent my way!

I am not one to have the "poor me" attitude and didn't mean to come across that way because even when things pile up I stop and remind myself, "It's a Wonderful Life"!!! I feel blessed and have a very supportive family and AWESOME husband and of course all of my MMC family! In reality, things are not that bad but I cannot help the way I feel when my family and fur children are ill and not feeling well and it all piled up on me this week.

Time to put my smart phone to use today and I will try to post from the hospital or I might send word to Made to pass along on here. You don't mind, do you Made?

Thank you everyone for starting my day off with a smile! You truly are the best people in the world!

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends! And Happy Pinesday!

We spent most of the afternoon and evening in Statesboro after Jacob's guitar lesson (which I sat in on...fun!). Elizabeth and I "snuck" away form Nancy in the mall to find a Mother's Day present, while Nancy pretended not to notice that we were gone. Then we went to Lowe's to get some potted plants and flowers for my mom, the to Wal-Mart.

We finally got some chicken sandwiches (grilled for me) and ate them in the car in the mall parking lot. It was 9:30 before we got home! Boy, I was tired.

I just found out I have quite a bit of work to do this afternoon on my part-time business. Rats, I wanted to spray my yard.

What did you find?

I have trouble coming up with a new gift each year, I know Mom will appreciate anything & really she just wants to spend time with us. She keeps saying she has enough & not to bother. Of course that doesn't stop us!!

This will be the first year in 10 years that I will be w/ my Mom on Mother's Day
So excited about that!!

Good morning,

Just doing my Wednesday routine before work, finished up the boys laundry and cleaned up the kitchen. Watching a Christmas episode of Married With Children, I love this show, I have all the Christmas episodes saved on my DVR even though I have every season on DVD. cheesy

I don't want to work tonight, but I have a full weekend off so just today, Thursday, and Friday and I am there. We are going to take my wife to a garden store and buy her flowers and herbs to plant outside for Mother's Day, we discovered last year there is nothing like fresh basil and oregano to use for cooking and that is all she wants are plants.
