Good morning!
It is going to rain for most of the day with a high of 65 degrees.
All of the girls have work today. My two oldest will drive themselves, but I will be driving my youngest back and forth to Haagen Dazs. When I picked her up from work last night she was crying because she had just dropped her Iphone and shattered the glass. Grrrrr. Her sister just did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. At least I know where to go to have it fixed. I would like to drop it off this morning and get that over with. I also need to food shop and get to the rehab center to visit my father.
Oh and today is my 23rd wedding anniversary. We were just a couple of kids when we got together, can't believe how fast the time flies by. My hubby had to go in to work today, but I'm hoping we can at least find the time to go out to dinner tonight.
Have a great day!!!
you are busy! Hope all works out well for you and the perfect house comes on the market at the perfect time!Good morning everyone in my MMC life... We have been having thunderstorms and rain here since late last night and it's humid and threating to rain again, but it's supposed to cool down later tonight.
I awoke to the sound of ladders being put up against the side of my house this morning. We had signed a contract for a contractor to remove and put a new crown on the top of my fireplace about a month ago and they didn't call to say they would be here this morning, glad I decided to be at the house here this morning....
We decided to put our house of 14 years up for sale! So, we have had contractors here for the past two weeks working on the back deck and addition, we are having new granite countertops installed, making sure the fireplace is in tip top shape and we are landscaping our yard as well (IE, my brother and his company). So as they say, we are turning and burning....
We are looking for a house as well, so we are doing that while also looking to sell my grandfathers house to boot and we will have him move in with us so that we (I) can continue to take care of his needs...
As a quote in Frosty the Snowman, "Busy, Busy, Busy...." lol....
Today, Lisa is working and so I'm going to push the mending knee a bit and try to start packing some things up in the garage and take them to storage myself. Yes, I foresee an Aleeve later on ha-ha...
I hope everyone has a glorious day today, enjoy, relax and have fun!!!!
for the short time I drove a transport truck I got stuck in that three times!Fireplace and coffee? I'm there!!!!!! Hopefully I don't get stuck in that dreaded bumper to bumper traffic in Chicago again.
Good evening!
I got to spend a lot of time with my father today. What a difference a day makes! He could barely stand up yesterday. Today he went to physical therapy and did everything they asked him to. He is struggling but I pray that he has the strength to keep pushing himself. The doctor also ran tests to see if anything else might be wrong but the results were all normal! I hope he continues to improve, I can't wait to see him tomorrow.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, it means so much to me!
Just talked to my sister and mom. They said the concert was great but they froze because the temperature dropped really quick after it rained and their thin coats didn't do much to stop the wind. They've also been in their car for 30 minutes and haven't even managed to pull out of their parking spot. So they won't be home for awhile.

I know what it is like to have to work because you need work not because you like what you are doing. Hang in there!Good afternoon everyone!
It was a big and long week. As mentioned about a week ago, I started my new job this week. Waking up at about 6:20 is much harder than 7 am. The work is much different than my previous position. It's more production based than data entry and submissions based. I don't quite like it as much, but it is money and it will do until I find a secure and full time position elsewhere - or until my contract ends in September.
It was mostly a beautiful week in Ottawa. Temperatures often felt like summer. Leaves and flowers are nearing full bloom. Can't ask for much better scenery right now than Ottawa.
Moving back to my job, I can't post as much as I want to anymore. I'll do my best to post later in the day, but I cannot guarantee anything. Our computer access is very minimal and there is little to no downtime to do anything during breaks or free time. It's disappointing, but at least I'm making money.
Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend. Enjoy the Spring weather wherever you are!
Good Morning, Everyone Everywhere who cares Everything about Christmas.
That's US!

Hope you all have a great day!! xx

Good morning,
Rain, rain go away...
Baseball practice was canceled, and I guess we are suppose to have some doozies of thunderstorms come through this afternoon.
Hey all! Busy week! A quick update on my mom. The day she got home from the hospital she felt terrible from the lack of sleep and nausea but the next day she felt so awesome she was trying to do chores around the house, laundry, changing the sheets on her bed and more in her wheelchair when she was suppose to stay in bed with her leg elevated! She has one of those external fixators on her leg, a big bulky thing she has to deal with for 4-6 weeks. There is NO REASON for her to do chores or cook! The whole time I was growing up my dad always shared that responsibility and NEVER expected my mom to do all that. My dad seems to love waiting on her too! She was doing all this while my dad and I were out running errands for her so we were not aware that she was misbehaving, she's a rebel! Ha ha. We got a call from her and she was bleeding and swelling at the surgery site. My dad rushed home, called the doctor and she was told to get to bed! They told her to stay there but my mom just cannot be still! She is good now. She told me she doesn't like ordering my dad around. I convinced her that he likes waiting on her. He has always been that kind of husband anyway, he LOVES doing things for her. I know what I witnessed with my mom and dad growing up, nothing but love! That is why they have been married for nearly 50 years! I also told her to call Wayne and I anytime and we will be right over if she needed us.
From this point forward, I will no longer refer to Wifey as "Wifey"...I hereby declare that wifey's new name is.........(drum roll)........
Dr. Wifey!
Yep, that's right. In 2 hours and 15 minutes, Wifey receiver her doctorate....I've been walking around the house all morning, talking in my bugs bunny voice sayin...ag, what's up doc?
Graduation today, party tonight! See yall tomorrow!
That's a good, concise description of us, all right!
I think everyone has a little tape loop of that in their head!
Mr. once mentioned Billy De Wolfe to someone and got a blank stare, until he said, "You know ... 'Bu-sy, bu-sy, bu-sy!'" THEN they knew who he was talking about! (Or as we sometimes say here, "dawn over Marblehead"!)
Sure, Just keep telling everyone that!!!!:lol:

Cats are awfully good at hiding their feelings when they want to!
Does anybody here ever watch "My Cat from Hell"? It's sort of the feline counterpart to the Dog Whisperer.
This pastor and his wife that we got to meet this morning are great! They have 3 more meetings today and then he will be preaching at both services tomorrow. Then tomorrow night we have another meeting and then a vote as to whether or not to extend a call to him.
No white smoke if we choose him though, but I will let you know.
