Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good evening!
I had a busy afternoon. I brought my daughter to the seamstress to pick up her prom dress and thankfully it fits her perfectly. I brought my youngest to pick up her paycheck but unfortunatley the checks weren't ready for some reason. But it wasn't a wasted trip, she works at a Haagen Dazs that is in the outlets so we decided to do some shopping while we were there. Which kind of threw me off schedule when I got home but thats alright. I will catch up with my chores tomorrow. Oh and my oldest found her car keys, they were in her purse the whole time. I can't get mad at her because I looked through her bag and didn't see them either, lol. They were in a pocket that is on the outside of the bag. I think I'm going to read for a little while, hopefully I won't fall asleep :-D

Thank you for all the prayers and well wishes. My babies are safe...my wife is safe...and we have a house! Our town though, Moore, has been devistated. It missed my house by about 3/4 a mile. Several schools were hit with the kids still in there and right now search and rescue efforts are going on. Internet access is limited so I may be a no show for a while, but will try to check in as I can.

I'm so glad you and your home and family are safe, but I feel so awful for your community. I can't imagine how terrible it would be to have my home town devastated, utterly changed forever in just a few horrible minutes. Prayers are in my heart for you and your neighbors, and especially the children.

We were able to go to Cars Land and ride the Radiator Springs Racers. It scared me at first and then I realized that it was the noise that made me believe we were really going fast in a street race. Made, you would have been proud of me, even if I did sit in the middle of the front seat. They take your picture on that ride sort of like they do on Splash Mountain. Needless to say, I did NOT ride SM because of my extreme fear of flying (LOL), but we did buy the pic from the Cars Land ride. We had our picture made with Tow Mater also. We also rode the Matterhorn. I first rode it 44 years ago when I graduated East Carolina University and moved to California. It was a hard, bouncy ride this time. I will tell more about my trip in the next few days. I finished four loads of laundry today, and I am bushed! Good night, all!

I would guess that it would be safe to say by the the looks of it, that she's just as glad to have found you both as well..... I'll bet you she's thinking; "There's no place like home...." and a good ole comfy couch helps alot as well!!!:-D
