We returned from Wal-Mart where we purchased some strawberry-flavored marshmallows and strawberry-and-vanilla marshmallows. Can you guess what we will have this weekend? Uh, oh! Just saw a different recipe on the strawberry marshmallow bag: Strawberry Mallow Cheesecake Squares. I am sure no one wants the recipe!

I forgot to tell you guys yesterday that I made Rice Krispy squares. I melted 3 T. butter, added one 8-oz. pkg. Campfire Key Lime Mallow Bursts and stirred it until smooth. I then added five cups of rice cereal and stirred until coated, patted it into a buttered Pyrex container, cut into squares, and enjoyed. Come on out here!

Can hardly wait. How is the granny square Christmas one coming along? I am going to pack that up as a special project like I was talking about in an earlier post. It will obviously have to go into a bigger "project box" than my scrapbooking projects. I am glad I bought some special containers to help with the scrapbooking. That way, I won't have a big mess when I want to work on relaxing stuff during the remodel, and everything I need for that one project will be in one place, ready to go!

I'm working on a special one now. I hope I can finish it by July ...

You already know what, LOL!!!

HA!! Great minds think alike!! ;)

You got it. Valerie dropped off a case!

Yes, definitely nap time. I just finished the "base" for tonight's dinner, and that stuff is cooking as we speak! It smells so good that I am drooling! I saved Hubby some of the stout. It came in a 1 pint and 2.6 fl. oz. bottle, so I used what I thought it needed and left the rest for him. Hubby always asks what I did to change the recipe I am working on. Well, this time, I added some Yukon Gold potatoes; chopped celery; browned, fresh mushrooms; corn; and a beef shank. The beef shank will add such richness like you wouldn't believe! If there is too much base, I will set some aside and make beef-barley soup tomorrow or Sunday. Let's see: Today is Friday, right? So, yeah, soup for tomorrow or Sunday. HMG, I am still not sure of the days, LOL!

Nap time??

You are so funny, Ryan!

I am not on Pinterest...I'm sorry. And there was a photo...it was in a large bowl in the picture. I think the recipe I posted earlier is it. I'm going to eat something with Oreos this weekend, that's all I know! :???:

hey snowflake....how is sweet harlowe doing?

She is wonderful, thanks for asking!!

She has had two walks already today, and a long car ride. Not to mention getting some sun on the deck!! And we'll take her for another walk after dinner, so she is a happy camper =)

How are you guys? How is Stripey?

xx

My youngest niece just got out of her appointment with the cardiologist and they said the hole in her heart is small enough that we don't have to worry about it. They will just monitor her for the next few years and make sure nothing changes. So that is a huge load off of our shoulders.

That is great news, made.

She will remain in my thoughts & prayers!!

Good evening, MMCers! How are you all? I am doing well, so glad it's the weekend! DH is working, but I still get to be off with my kids, so that makes it a great weekend, plus it's a holiday weekend!

Do you guys have stuff planned this weekend? I'm not sure what we will do during the day tomorrow yet, it depends on the weather, but they are having fireworks here tomorrow night, so I plan on taking the kids to see them. We will be watching a movie and making popcorn tonight. I just stuck a homemade pizza in the oven. Have I mentioned I love weekends? :???:

As for the holiday, I work, but I work the night before, then I actually have off the night of the holiday, so it makes it nice. I will come home and cook, which DH always helps. We will be having my parents, sister, and her boyfriend over for the day and we'll be having a picnic, probably a fire too, since it's not supposed to be super warm out. EA is twirling in a parade, which is at 10 am, so I have to rush home from work, start cooking, and then go to the parade. It will all work out, it always does!

Well, off to get dinner done. I will stop back in later. I hope you all enjoy your evening. Thinking of all of you. God Bless and keep smiling!

I did capitalize it, LOL. Plus, I typed John Phillips Sousa. That was a "mis-type." My dad's name was John Phillips; sorry!

I meant that I intended my reply to be all caps, but the digital censor knocked it down!

I put the granny square/ripple afghan on hold for the special one I'm making.

I also saw a lovely Christmas ripple in the Herrschner's catalog, but I won't need the pattern---just the right colors of yarn. I downloaded the photo from their website to use for reference.
