Wow, all last night and through most of the morning it seemed like there was one continuous thunderstorm. I turned the mini blinds around to block out the lightning flashes and slept fairly well, as did Mouse. Palmer was afraid, poor baby. I heard on the news this morning there might have been three tornadoes south of where I live, in the Flint area. The rain had no where to go so I am keeping tabs on my basement again. It wouldn't surprise me in the least to see it flood, but I am better prepared to take care of things now. Lesson learned!

Wow, scary night.

Good morning everyone.

We have the chance for more severe weather today including tornadoes. Yep, our "tornado" bags are packed. If another touches down, we're getting the heck out of there.

Might just keep on driving to Santa Claus, Indiana, too!

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!

Stay safe!!!

xmas365, storms headed your way again this afternoon ... I wish you could get a break from the severe weather. Like Ryan in Moore, you've had more than enough worrying and watching for a lifetime.

We're expecting rain and maybe storms later today, then the temps are supposed to be around 90F for the next three or four days. Typical New England "spring"! It's been mostly chilly and wet since April, and then suddenly, bang! Ninety in the shade! We'll have to hurry and put in the air conditioner.

Thanks, I saw that this morning, most important is keeping the kids calm.

You stay safe also.

Good afternoon,

Been busy doing my errands, most are done, haven't done the AC yet. I have some baby back ribs slow roasting in the oven, I can't wait to have them. Just hope the storms hold off while I finish them on the grill.

I watched Arthur Christmas while folding laundry this morning, I love that movie. I am watching South Park now, 2 things that really couldn't be more different. cheesy

I hope you all have a good day!!!

Those ribs sound good! Making me hungry. How long do you cook them in the oven before throwing them on the grill?

Okay...I'm not trying to clutter up the forums with tornado talk...but...can I vent for just a moment?

That's our forecast for today! Seriously! Really?

Okay...I'm done now...trying not to worry about my wife and kids too much. My son saw the forecast and is already scared...poor guy. He keeps asking about it.

My daughter already asked this morning if a tornado hits our house if she gets to buy all new stuff? When my wife responded yes she smiled really big and began to plan her shopping spree. May the Lord help me when that little girl gets older! cheesy

if I were you I would just move to Texas, the line for the storm ends exactly at the boarder so you will be safe there.
Seriously though, be careful.

Yep, all week!

The forecast is a good chance of rain & storms everyday. I can't remember the last day without rain, or with sun, LOL.

This afternoon, chance of severe storms. I better go grocery shopping early!

Hope you guys stay safe!!

I'll pray that your basement stays dry, my friend.

What, base ball sized hail???? I've never seen anything like that around here in my life. I'd like to see that from afar and from under some shelter... Just make sure if you go out in that, wear a hard hat!!!cheesy

Looks like this will stay to our west, but you never can tell. The Boston.com forecaster said it would all be less severe if the cloud cover doesn't break, and we haven't seen a peep of sun yet.

Although it's no laughing matter, I had to smile about your daughter ... talk about someone who looks on the bright side of anything! I sure hope your weather gets a milder pattern soon (and for a long time).

we have been getting sudden rainstorms rolling through too. A major road (Don Valley Parkway) in Toronto was closed due to flooding and there were trees down and the side of a building ripped off in that area too. Here is has been lots of rain and thunder. Lightening hit a building near here and put a hole in the roof. We were not supposed to get rain today and suddenly it was pouring buckets for about 1/2 and hour.
Weird weather for sure.

Stay safe!

Stay safe, too, Merry! It looks like your area could be hit with some heavy storms, too.

Thanks! I had to laugh, too.

well, the police were back again this morning going through the dumpster. This time they found what they were looking for, a jacket and a large knife. I truly hope this is the end of it all. ((shudder))
I was talking to the neighbors about us leaving for a week and they are going to look after my place for me. Going to introduce them to the family that will be looking after the cats. Told them no one else should be coming except for them. I wonder if I should let the police know I will not be home for a week?

I pray it is the end of all of it, too - such a scary thing!

Seriously scary forecast - continuing to pray for your area of the country! Your daughter is adorable - I'm so glad she can look on the bright side of things!!
