About four hours' sleep, then it's off to the airport and a long trip west. Aloha!

mom is already in bed, my sister is not feeling the greatest and has taken her meds and gone to bed, my brother inlaw is watching hockey, basket ball and baseball, my daughters are sleeping because the long last few days have finally caught up with them and my son is rejoicing over getting to sleep in a really big tent all by himself....so, I guess that leaves just me.
I think I will cuddle with a book and then get some sleep too.

To get my Christmas fix, I had to revert to my ways before I found MMC. Let me tell you, I didn't realize how much I truly enjoyed this place until I couldn't get here. I take a lot of things for granted and our space is one of them!

Dropping them off for a movie while mom and me hit the thrift stores in search of Christmas goodies! Well, that is what I am looking for, not sure what mom wants!

Thank you for all the prayers, my sister will not loose the finger. She still has a lot of healing to do and it looks aweful, but she will recover.

Just got back from walking the dogs. It is such a dreary day. We are expecting scattered showers today with a high of 75 degrees. The temperatures may drop down to the 60's by Friday, that will be nice.
Not too much going on for me today. I ran a few errands yesterday so I don't have to go out this morning. Just need to start the laundry and get a couple of other chores done, after I finish my cup of coffee.
I recieved an unexpected phone call from my mother this morning. She works in a doctors office and told me that there will be a part time clerical postition opening up and wanted to know if I might be interested. It would only be a few hours a day, a couple of days a week. I would love to take advantage of the oppurtunity but I'm not sure if I am ready to commit to a job. Even if its only part time. My youngest still isn't driving. It will be a problem if there is a conflict getting my daughter to and from where she needs to be. I'm not sure. It might be too stressful, lol. I have to think about it.

I could use some prayers for guidance, please. I got some more unexpected news about my father's unresolved estate. The current (second) executor is quitting; the first executor, who embezzled five figures from the estate, is still hiding out somewhere; the estate lawyer can't make a claim for the bond issued to her as executor until she's found and brought to court. And that can't be done unless I agree to take over as executor. I honestly don't know if I have the time or money to pick up the ball. My share of the estate, before the bond is claimed, is less than a third of what I've already paid in legal expenses to try to untangle the mess. The bond is for less than half of the amount she actually stole (before legal fees are deducted). I can't shuttle back and forth between Massachusetts and Florida if I'm required to be there in person. I don't know if I can afford the time and money to keep pursuing this, yet the thought of letting her get away with her thievery is unbearable. It's going to be hard to keep this off my mind while we're away. It'll be a very hard decision to make.

Last day of school. Saw some good friends retire and move on. Gonna miss them! Had a great ceremony for them and it was a good day...

Bad news...
My trusty companion of 12 years is at a critical point. Almost 1.5 years ago, they told us he had congestive heart failure and we would likely have been 6 weeks to 6 months....and here we are. He is a big dog who has exceeded his life expectancy and his back legs are just about to quit. We are trying one more thing at the dr.'s recommendation, and then comes a tough decision. My love, his trust in us, and friendship for my dog is about to be tested. I'm going to have to make a decision....and it's going to result in him leaving. I know...it's what's best for him....

but it sure hurts us....:-?

Another busy day here, work, JP's baseball game, Bruins game.

My Bruins won 6-1, it was a great game, I hope they can keep this going!!!

My usual Tuesday off tomorrow, no plans for me except laundry.


Late visit for me tonight.

I may watch some Christmas Vacation before heading to bed.
