Christmas Countdown - 2013

I got up this morning to see that Andrea is has strengthened and is now a Tropical Storm... Yup, looking outside I can see it for myself, our lake is now about 5 feet higher than it was 2 days ago and the rain, it is coming down by the buckets.

The weather channel has issued a tornado warning, flood watch and tropical storm warnings for Orlando now. But, it's not going to stop me, yeserday we went to Gatorland, while we were there, I got a chance to step inside they're enclosure and I got to feed the alligators and then we had some gator bites....last night we went to Disney's Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian and dined at the Kona restaurant. Afterwards, we went out to the beach, got some slushy drinks and watched the fireworks from across the lake; it was really nice and the rain held off until the fireworks were over...

Today, well being that we are getting hammered with the rain, winds and such... we are heading over to downtown Disney to do some shopping, nothing that wearing a poncho can't take care of... I'm here to have some fun and no Tropical storm is going to take the wind out of that; get it, take the wind out of it....Ha-ha-ha!

Alright, off we go to do some serious shopping... see ya all when we get back! Maybe I ought to take a bar of soap with me, and knock two things out at once; lol....

Man, sorry your whole week is flooded out! It sounds like you're better at making the best out of a bad situation than I am. Y'all have fun!

Here we are in the tropics, and the East Coast is getting a tropical storm. It's a funny world.

Going to get showered and dressed, get some breakfast at our favorite place, then we head up the mountain to spend the day with Gloria. It's cloudy now, but it was yesterday at this time ,and it cleared up beautifully.

Hey everyone. How is your day going? All is well here. We're just hanging out in the hotel room, waiting for the rain to start again. Tropical Storm Andrea is on it's way!

This morning, we got some heavy rain and minor flooding, but that subsided, so we did a little shopping, but it should be starting again soon and lasting until some time tomorrow. We will just order pizza, if we can get anyone to deliver, if not we are going to just make one. We are at a resort and they have a bowling and that type of thing, so we will hit that up at some point. Plus, we have wifi, movies, and snack food, so we will be good!

How is everyone's day going? Mine is going well, I just wish the weather would be a little nicer, but I am just glad the kids are enjoying vacation. As long as I am to put smiles on their faces, that is all that matters to me.

Well, I am off to read more of the boards and enjoy listening to the ocean, until this storm starts. I will be back later. God Bless and keep smiling. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Brad messaged me and encouraged me to drop in. As I said before, there is not much downtime at my current job. It is busy! Plus, we are not allowed to do much on the computer. This, coupled with the fact that I have been busy with the gym, rehab, doctor's appointments and practices, has limited my abilities to check in here. I apologize for this. I miss it here. As I told Brad, I couldn't stop thinking about Christmas all day. I miss the music. The good times. I hope everyone here is doing great. You all deserve the best.

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is Nancy's birthday, and I don't have a thing for her. Uh oh! Actually, we've spent all of our time planning a surprise 70th birthday party for my mom this Saturday. We're having a crab boil for Nancy at her mom's tonight, and I'll take her out next week for her birthday. I did at least get her a card telling her how much I appreciate all the effort she's given for mom's party. That'll have to do, for now.

It's supposed to rain like crazy for the next couple days, but we could use it. I just hope it's cleared for mom's party this weekend.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's supposed to be a cloudy day here with a high near 80. I was going to run down to the south side of Indy this morning but gas is up to $4.23 a gallon so I'll just stay home and play around the apartment. I also need to go through the grocery ads and make out my menu for next week. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Gas is $4.25 here - supposedly due to a refinery problem. One good thing the high prices has brought about is that there hasn't been all that much traffic on my road. cheesy

Gas is $4.25 here - supposedly due to a refinery problem.

That's what the news said here too. Why they would take 2 out of the 3 refineries that supply the midwest off line at the same time baffles me but hey, what do I know.
