I have a bud vase on the top of our cupboard that I switch out each season Mine could be freshened up, too.

They had some really pretty sunflowers & cattails.

One year I planted a whole bunch in my garden and then noticed the flower tops disappearing one at a time. I thought the neighborhood kids were messing with me, but turned out to be a hungry squirrel!

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Vacation Bible School was great, but it sure was hot! Nancy and I were in charge of the outside activities, so they involved a lot of water games, and a zillion water balloons!

I'm planning to work through lunch and leave at 4pm to go with Nancy and the kids to Statesboro. Elizabeth has ballet practice and we have some serious Walmart shopping to do.

Good evening!
It has been raining here off and on all day long. There are some rumbles of thunder right now. I hope it passes soon, Molly is nervous. I cant get her to lay down in bed with me, she is running around the house.
I was busy again today, I had to drive around and get immunization records and transcripts for my daughters college applications. And it is also my husbands birthday today. I had some last minute shopping to do. We had a nice dinner and cake at home tonight but we plan on going out to a restaurant over the weekend to celebrate. My oldest had to work this evening and I really didn't want to go out without her. The girls part time jobs make it tough for us to all be together. Seems like there is always at least one of them working. My youngest is the only one that doesn't have a job at the moment. It has been nice for her and for me. A lot less driving for me. But she has an interview next week so she may be back to work soon.

There is a snake in my attic! I always thought that if one got into the house it would be in the basement as it has a dirt floor. Not upstairs!!! I walked right by it and didn't see it - heard a weird noise and watched it slowly slither over to a dark area by the chimney. I was literally shaking I was so scared. My attic is unfinished and full of bags, boxes and totes. So many places for it to hide. Not happy!!!!

Good evening!
I am feeling sleepy and it's so early. I just made myself a cup of hazelnut coffee.
My youngest is going to have a few friends over in the back yard tonight. I hope it's uneventful. My husband is getting uptight already and there isn't even anyone here yet, lol. My kids always say they are only having a few people over. But then the word starts to spread and before you know it there are way too many teenagers here. We'll see what happens.
