Good afternoon, MMC!

It is almost 12:30 and I am yawning way too much. Time for more coffee! Woke up early this morning to Palmer talking to me - she really had a lot to say. Also woke up to half power - could not make any coffee. I think that is why I am so sluggish today. Lots to do, though, and break is almost over. Boy, they go fast, don't they?!

Stay cool, safe and MERRY!!!

:snowball:

What's the latest on the snake situation? Hope you have a merry day, too!

Happy Monday everyone. In honor of this milestone week, I am going to make a trip to Hobby Lobby at lunch and see what is out.
I have a job interview tomorrow, and I am ready to get to it. Y'all have a great day!

I sure wish we had a Hobby Lobby here or anything similar for that matter. Best of luck with your interview tomorrow!!!

It is raining here in northern California; it is really like fall. I love it! I have on my jacket because it is a little cool to me. I am not feeling great, so I am going to go lie down and take a nap. I have a stopped up ear, too. TTYL

Good morning everyone,

I've been away for about a week (I flew off to San Antonio, Texas) to go see my son graduate from the Air Force bootcamp... Well, he did it, YEA....and he's now an Airman in the US Airforce.

After they graduated, they have to all stand still untill someone from their family "taps them out", (places a hand on them and then they can move...) Mom was the one to do so and I captured the moment on film, by reaching over top of other people to take the picture and it turned out perfectly. He was all teared up to see us, during the course of the day both him and I were able to walk along sharing with each other both of our experiences from going to bootcamp in the military.

It was wonderful to see him again and we were able to spend 3 days with him while we were there on base. We got to watch them drill, visit his barracks, see what he did, how he did things and meet other families and Airmen; it was a wonderful experience. Today he will fly home to spend time with us before he checks into his base; mom, grandmom and my daughter are picking him up at the airport right about now....

Me, I'm back at work and glad that for awhile everyone is back home (including myself); "There's no place like home, There's no place like home.....)!

Have a good day!

I'm very grateful for your son's service to our country! He's a hero, and so are all of you as I know soldiers' families also make sacrifices for our freedom. Your son, and you all, are awesome!

Hobby Lobby is great. I'll take some pictures so you can see it all here! :-D

And thanks for your kind words about the interview! I'll let you know how it goes.

Thank you, Ryan! I still haven't been able to get anyone out to look. My brother was going to listen for a few hours or so downstairs and if he heard anything it would give him an idea where to look upstairs, but he fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Poor guy is trying to get used to what amounts to a split shift. Not easy since he was off for quite a few years getting his associate's degree. Overall, the noises I hear can be contributed to an old house, so I really don't know if I have a situation up there or not. And trust me, I am not going to go look!!!! I sincerely hope it wasn't injured in any way and that it found a way out!

Nice weather you are having - I hope it keeps your heat wave at bay. I pray you are better soon and that your nap refreshes you!

Congratulations to your son! Is the "taps them out" thing something new that is being done?

I have to quit sneaking on here - not getting much work done. cheesy

Hello all!!!! I have been away so long I almost feel like I should reintroduce myself . I hope everyone is doing well! I have a cold myself, that's right, in the middle of a heat wave and I have a cold, go figure. Other than that things are going okay for me, I think I am getting closer to that earlier shift at work. The latest person they hired looks like is going to stay, they just need to hire or transfer one more person and that will do it. They are also trying to bring in a lot more business, which will open up opportunities for promotion, at least that's what I heard.

Well I hope everyone has a great Monday and week, I will try to make an effort to be on here more often.

Praying for a promotion!!!!!! Andwelcome back Wayne!!!!

I know you're proud of him, but I know you're glad he's at home for a few days, too.

Please let him know how much I appreciate his service, too!

As promised...in honor of it being a milestone week, and being six months from today until Santa takes flight once again...here are some pictures from today's trip to Hobby Lobby.

The don't have much out, but you can see that it is coming.
