Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good SUnday morning, my Christmas friends!

Jacob has been gone for 3 days at the Christian retreat, and we finally get to pick him up this afternoon! I have to say, I've missed the boy.

Yesterday I cut the grass, cleared the stump & roots from my yard where we took a tree down, did all the string-trimming & cut the shrubs. Then it was time to go to work. Whew!

I went to my brother's shop, but the heads weren't back from the shop. So, we installed a A/C unit in his office. Not a window unit, but a 2 ton system with the outside condensing unit and the air handler in the closet. Years & years ago, I worked for a refrigeration & A/C company, so we gave it a shot. We actually got it mostly finished, but I remember why I didn't settle on A/C work for a living. Too much crawling around in the attic.

Anyway, It'll be good to see Jacob again. I hope ya'll have a great day! cheesy

Good morning,

Another lazy day to be here, we are taking a trip to a car dealership because we "won a major award" there, so we are going to see what it is. I am hoping for the $10,000. cheesy It will probably end up being a $5 gift card.
Before I went to sleep last night, I listened to the Christmas greeting podcast from December, hearing CM3's greeting, it made me think of her, and how how much I miss her. I hope her furkids are doing well.
I will probably watch some Red Sox and the NHL Draft this afternoon, and then Oz The Great & Powerful tonight.

Wish us luck on the prize.

Good afternoon everyone! Feels like the weekend got away from me a bit... hubby hasn't been feeling well so we've been just hanging around. Another round of RAIN is coming through.. heavy rain AGAIN! It's already the wettest June on record. Hey, at least I haven't had to water!!

I was searching the tv for "Christmas," as I do regularly, and was so excited to see Hallmark movies popping up in July. Wooooo!

hope he had a good time. Our youth were off to pitch and praise 2 weeks ago.
There is also a group of youth out on a short term mission trip to Zambia. A young couple from our church are missionary's there and they have gone for 10 days to help.

Mr. is in his room at the hospital. We're still waiting to find out when the surgery will be. Thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers.

Mr.'s appendectomy went well, but now there are complications owing to a cranial shunt that routes excess fluid into his abdomen. The area it empties into is the same area as the appendix infection, and a neurosurgeon will have to examine him to make sure the infection won't migrate upward through the tubing toward the brain. They won't be able to do this evaluation until tomorrow. There was a similar situation some years ago when the shunt system was breached, and he had to stay in the hospital for weeks until they determined he was completely free of infection. I was a tearful wreck, because we're so close and do so many things together, and I missed him so much. I'm starting to feel that way again. But it's the only way to make sure he's healthy and safe. To make it worse, this all started on his birthday, and it looks like I'm going to miss celebrating my birthday with him this coming week.

I'll try not to be a downer, but just now I'm feeling awfully sad and lonesome, because Mr. is usually the one I go to when I feel bad, but that's not an option right now.
