Good Morning, Friends!


While all mornings here at MMC are good, some are just gooder than other.

And among those "gooder" days are Milestone Days.

Days to the Season: 122
Days to Christmas Day: 164
And there you have it, Folks.
The 2/3 Season marker.
Milestone #11 on our handy-dandy chart.

And passing that point now means we can start talking about Milestone #12.
It's just 3 weeks from tomorrow.
And it's the........
(I find this incredible to be saying!)
THE ONE HUNDRED DAY SEASON MILESTONE!

Hey! What can I say? The holidays have a way of creeping up on you. Everyone here should be well aware of that fact by now!


Rainy yesterday. Very rainy. Our guage read 1 1/2 inches.
Of course, it was cooler.
But I'm tired of the wet stuff and long for a dry day.
Perhaps today?
We are at 71.4 degrees here right now.

Good morning, MMC!

It is going to be very humid here for the next five days so yesterday I prepped food for the week. I also put up my first bag of kale. Love that green! The raspberries are ripe now and there is a third of a quart bag in the fridge. Not sure what I am going to do with them yet. All the berries that I pick are from wild bushes on the farm. I say farm as it was a farm when my dad bought it - now it is mostly woods. There is also a stray black cat fighting with Bottle. I haven't been able to get close enough to shoo it away. Bottle has been such a good cat - doesn't fight with any of my cats and waits until they are done eating before he eats. I hope he doesn't get hurt! Not much to do today other than stay cool!

[Christmas-A-Holic]

Howdy! To add to the, "I hate summer", it's been so hard on my dog Chico who has congestive heart failure. He is struggling to breath and really has had me worried this week. I keep him in ice cold air conditioning but that brief moment he has to go outside to do his business wipes him out and takes forever to get his breath back again.

MerryCarey, we still love you for enjoying summer! If I lived where you are at, I would enjoy it too!!!! =) Can I bring Chico with me for the summer to your house? He would probably feel better!!!

It has been an emotional roller coaster this week with my little doggy. I have taken him to the vet twice for his condition. We took him in Monday and the vet said all looks good considering what he is going through. I observed him all week and wasn't satisfied with what the vet said so we took him back Friday and the vet said he of course has a terminal heart condition but still holding his own and not critical. He didn't even charge me for the visit on Friday and he was swamped that day, he should have charged me double! lol. Bless his heart! I love the vet so this was no knock at his judgement, it was me being paranoid and unsure if Chico was really okay! The reassurance Friday was a help but I still worry of course.

Happy Milestone Day!
I am at the doctors office waiting to have my blood drawn again. I've been having some issues that make me suspect I may have other food allergies on top of the Celiac Disease. I'm hoping to get the results back soon. Not too much else going on today. The dogs have a groomer appointment later this morning. And I may take a ride to Trader Joes this afternoon for a few things. Other than that daily chores. Have a great day!!!

Yesterday the wife and I went to Nashville and stopped at joana fabrics saw all the fall, halloween, thanksgiving and very small Christmas stuff. It made me so happy and now makes it seem like holidays will be here soon and yet at the sometime seems so far away.

Yay!!!

I wanted to stop @ Joann's & Hancock Fabrics yesterday, but was exhausted. Now I have something to look forward to!!!

I did stop at Michaels, and they had more fall & a little bit of Halloween!

I am making coffee and watching It's The Most Wonderful Time If The Year. Love this movie!!

What are your plans today?

I am going to watch Hallmark Christmas movies & start my Real Estate License application process.

It's going to start getting really hot & humid again this week. Oh well, it just makes me daydream of Fall even more!!

when my kids were small I used to go out with them to pick berries, this was in northern BC so we also had to watch for bears. But it was fun and saved so much money. Saskatoon berries were the ones that were most abundant. (look something like a blueberry)
I love kale too, did not plant any this year so will have to see if my brother planted extra.

I'm going later in the week as I had things to do at home and didn't get to the bank before it closed. The Hallmark I like to go to has sidewalk sale days and I usually score a few ornaments from last year for a dollar each. I usually make a day of it and wander through Bronner's, too. I'm really looking forward to going!!!

Well now I'm jealous. Hope everything goes okay with Bottle and the stray.

I need to head out to a fabric shop some time soon too, I need a bakers coat and some more aprons. I want to find fabrics with different themes for fall, Halloween, thanksgiving Christmas ect.
Time is gong by so fast, seems the older I get the faster it goes...I guess that is what happens after you crest that hill! LOL
