morning all! its a bit cloudy here this morning but theres no rain forecast, our towns festival is in full swing and its got the best atmosphere! have a great day everyone!

 

[Festive Spirit]

It is a quiet day here as well. I did a couple offers and otherwise spend my time joking with my work collegues. Other than that I ckecked my favourite authors for new books (luckily some are coming up) and was searching for new authors. I found one "problem" with the ebook reader though. Ebooks are much cheaper then real books and without worrying for storage space I tend to buy way to many books. Do you have the same "problems"?

Tomorrow evening we are able to visit a flat, we might be able to buy. The offer looks very good, according to my cousin, who works in the real estate business. It would also be more or less close to the village we live in now. We'll see how the meeting goes and how the rest goes.

I'm going home early as there really isn't any work to do and I'm having headache.

I love reading. I can certainly understand accumulating too many books on teh Kindle. Not only are they cheaper but it is so convenient and fast. Having said this I will admit I am an old fashioned book lover. So I prefer to go to the library and I like spending any rare free time there. Whenever we take trips to different towns you will always find me checking out the book shops! I love mystery,thrillers, fantasy, drama, the classics, and American southern gothic to name a few. Patricia Cornwell is one of my top favourites. If you are into mystery/thriller then you should check out Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn and Before You Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson.....both amazing! The latter is being made into a movie by Ridley Scott. ( I am also a film lover). I am always happy to meet a fellow book lover.....what are you into?

Good morning, MMC! It is going to be a busy, busy, busy day here. I am finishing my last minute packing and I leave for vacation tomorrow. Let's hope I don't forget anything.

I am really excited to go on vacation! It is a short trip, but still, it has been something to look forward to all summer long. I am glad that there are no tropical storms/hurricanes this time around. The last time I went away, Sandy was in full-force and the weather was disastrous. Now let's hope that I didn't jinx myself!

I see that some of you are also preparing for vacations or weekend trips. Regardless of whether you're flying or driving, have a safe trip and be careful!

Have a wonderful trip Jennifer! I hope you are fully restored to good health as I know you have been unwell. Stay safe and keeping you all in prayer.

Well I can officially say that I have finished shopping for one person on my Christmas list. I just ordered all 8 seasons of Full House for my niece in Seattle off of amazon. She has been obsessed with it on tv here lately and keeps complaining because they show the same one's over and over. So now she will be set.

Good on you! I think it is a good idea to start geting things in especially when you find a bargain!

Enjoying the last few weeks of quiet time before Baby Bambina arrives....

It's almost time for life to change...but for this weekend....I will enjoy this moment....

My Hubby's birthday is today so this morning I made a key lime pie... vey simple and very good

5 egg yolks
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup of key lime juice

Mix and pour into a graham cracker crust. Which I bought premade
Bake at 375 for 15 minutes

I am not a fan of key lime pie, but am quite sure your hubby will love your creation.

Hey yall! Big weekend for me....wife is gone and went to spend the weekend with her mother...

So I went out, got a bite to eat, sit back and the chair, turned on some NFL football that I have recorded, and I will be spending my weekend with you....

Enjoying the last few weeks of quiet time before Baby Bambina arrives....

It's almost time for life to change...but for this weekend....I will enjoy this moment....

I wasn't able to get a lot of photos but I will say rather than just having a few rows set up, the first ten plus were dedicated to fall/Christmas (with about three fall, the rest Christmas). Deeper in the store were also Christmas crafts, material to make wreaths and other holiday decorations! And, the trees are finally up...

Good evening,

I saw my first 2 Christmas magazines of 2013, one was called "Holiday Crafts" and the other was a Woodworkers Holiday issue. Wooohooo! I won't be buying either one but knowing they are out makes me happy.

One more day until a day off, it will be busy tomorrow with bargain hunters buying goods without any sales tax.

I am absolutely exhausted, so I am heading to bed soon.

Good morning everyone!!! It's been crazy around here lately and I sure missed checking in her. I figure it's going to be crazy for the next two weeks till school starts.

Finally got a diagnosis for DD's belly pains and stuff. After 3 procedures and blood work the Dr says it's IBS. Which is not fun but at least it's not as bad as they originally thought. So we are trying to figure out what some of her trigger foods are so she can try to stay away from them.

Spent all last weekend shopping for school stuff. NC had a tax free weekend on school supplies and clothes, so we went Fri,Sat and Sun. But we got everything.

Well gonna go try and catch up. Have a grand daylaying:

I am on my third cup of coffee already. I need to walk the dogs and get my day started. My 18 year old woke me up with a phone call at about 1:00 in the morning, she got in to a car accident. She wasn't driving, one of her guy friends was. It wasn't her friends fault, the other car went through a stop sign and t-boned his car. Thankfully no one was hurt. I drove down to where it happened to make sure everyone was alright and to take my daughter home. I'm telling you, these teenage years are wearing me out. It's so stressful. I'm at the point where I don't even say hello when they call me, the first words out of my mouth are "Are you alright?"
Anyway, I have to go food shopping today. I'm happy I made it to my butcher yesterday, so that is off my list. I also need to go to the bank and the pet store. Other than that it will be a typical day, I have laundry and some other chores to do.
It is going to be sunny today with a high of 82 degrees. I wish it were a bit cooler but the humidity is gone, so I shouldn't complain.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a warm but decent day here with a high in the mid 80's. I'm getting ready to go play mechanic today. I need to change the oil in my mom's car and then my aunt has a headlight out so I'm going to fix that. Then I have a few errands to run. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Hope DD is alright. I know how that goes! Not sure if its the same for everyone who has it but I'll give you a tip from me: high fructose corn syrup can be a killer! After I was diagnosed that was one of the first things we zeroed in on that could put me in a world of pain...especially in large amounts (like pancake syrup). Hope she is alright!
