Snow-in-Texas and I went on a 10 mile bike ride yesterday at the lake. That is the longest we have rode since we got the bikes. I wanted to do more but it was getting really hot by 11 am. The high topped out at 100 yesterday. The muscles in my legs were a little tight yesterday so I thought I would wake up sore but I don't feel a thing. We keep saying that we want to go completely around the lake someday and looking it up this morning the trail around it is just 11 miles. Here we were going so many miles out, backtrack then go out again. We were going back and forth until we reached 10 miles when all along we could have gone all the way around it! I thought the trail was MUCH LONGER than that. We were afraid to get too far out and not make it back. I think our next goal is to go around! I can't believe I lived here all my life and didn't know that info.
We are having a big Laua at church this morning. Our new pastor is getting his official welcome. He told us that he always wears Hawaiian shirts when he preaches because he wants everyone to know that it is not important what you wear to church, just that you come. So everyone is wearing something Hawaiian, a shirt, mumu, leis, etc. Going to be a colorful morning!
It is also our churches 97th anniversary so we will have lots of additional guests for this. Lunch afterwards too!
Good morning everyone!
Following a wonderful trip home to Sault Ste. Marie, I have returned to my adopted home of Ottawa. I had a wonderful time with my family and visiting my grandmothers. Now, I guess, it's back to the real world - and trying to re-enter the real world via job searching.
Plans for today? Football is back! I plan to visit the gym for a couple hours late this morning and then sit on the couch and watch football for much of the day. I can't wait to see the Packers take the field once again. It's going to be an exciting season. I just hope some of the changes they made will be beneficial.
Good morning, everyone! Just getting ready to head to bed. Not going to do much today, except spend time with the family, clean, and bake. I need to get rid of some bananas and peaches, so I am going go bake a banana but bread and peach cobbler when I get up.
For dinner, we're going to do stuffed pepper soup. I am looking forward to tonight!!! Alright, off to sleep a few hours. Hope you all have a great day!

Ribs are in the crockpot and NFL Sunday Countdown is on the tv. What a glorious day it will be....football all day! I know all of my fellow Cowboys fans are as excited as I am to see the Giants coming to Dallas! I can't wait.
Hi everyone!
I haven't been on in a while, things have been so hectic. I started to type out a post earlier but had to shut the computer down to do something. That's the way it's been around here lately. Anyway, I'm sneaking on my phone to pop in and say hello. Our house is still under construction. My husband has done a lot of work in this house over the years but this has definitely been the longest and most difficult project to live through. The wood floors are all sanded and finished. I'll post a picture of my dining room and living room. He also did the kitchen and den floors, all the same. Today my husband plans on putting up molding. Lots and lots of molding. Then lots of painting to do. Then we should finally be able to design the kitchen.
Other than that, I have been super busy with the kids and keeping up with my daily chores. The girls head back to school tomorrow. We have been getting appointments out of the way, shopping and even doing some trial runs to see where their new schools and classrooms will be. They are usually back to school before the 9th, this is kind of late for us. I'm looking forward to getting back to my normal routine.
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
I just wanted to give a shout-out to Xmas for all his work on the Christmas-Song-a-Day thread. It has really been a blessing and a mood-lifter. If you haven't visited it and would like to hear some Christmas Spirit, just check it out! You'll be glad you did. Would you believe he has been doing this daily for almost two years!!!

Absolutely stunning. That is such hard work, too. Hubby is out back digging the trench to lower the water line. He is sure the building inspector will make him do it anyway!
Thank you, Seawaters. I am glad you enjoy it.
It has been so much fun. Right now I am in a salute to songs from Christmas TV specials
Don't forget, Superfreak has a song a day thread also.
Will you come decorate my house?
HAPPY SUNDAY everyone
I am sending all the "BER" luv I can.. the fall season is close and I am so happy![]()

As for the weather, it is quite evident that we are nearing mid-September. The sun will be shining all day, but temperatures will only reach a high of 16c/61f. The forecast for the week has it warming up in Ottawa. Highs into the mid 20s/lower 80s by Wednesday. I'm not complaining though...
Excited to see the countdown drop. It will be something when we reach into the 50s later this week. Oh, and who can forget the hidden milestone of exactly two months until the beginning of the Christmas Season?! Another reason to look forward to Friday!
Have a great Sunday everyone!
ok, you will just have to lock yourself in the garage whee there is no TV!Good morning MMC. So, after church, my wife is taking the kids to her parents and I'm supposed to barricade myself in the house and work on school. The problem....Directv is giving a free day of NFL Sunday Ticket so I have access to every single game today! I'm sure y'all see where this is going.
Hope y'all all have a great day!

Got the house cleaned yesterday, bought tons of stuff, and we are ready to go....just two more things to do and we are ready for Little Bambina....we are waiting on the car seat to come in (supposed to be here tomorrow) and waiting on some furniture to arrive (supposed to be here Wednesday).
Super excited as we approach the 100 day mark....took several pictures last night...but I'm going to wait until the Christmas Blossoms thread opens...which is something else I can't wait to see....won't be long now....
Yall have a great day! See you around later this afternoon!
