Dear Christmasstar, I am sorry to hear of your pets passing, I'm sure it's tough for a while. You did the best thing for your pet, they expect us to be responsible for them and to make the right decisions.
But I want to congratulate you on the baby.......blessings from above.
The Loss of one and the birth of another........that is just the way life can be.
Have a great week, and may the gracious Lord above comfort you and the wife.
Good night!
that is so sweet of you, but it was not my pet, it was Ballcoach's dog that passed on. I was responding to his post.
Lets pass this lovely post on to him, especially since my baby is now 25 years old. LOL

...when I got home...my wife was in tears and our oldest dog was terribly sick....we had to take him to the vet and have him put down. It's ok. I don't know if many of you remember, but it's been two years since he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure...and that's quite a long time to stay alive with that. He was 11...

He was there when I coached my first game, he was there when I coached my last. He was there when we met Dr. Wifey...and he was there when I proposed. He was there when we found out we were going to have a baby...and he was there when we brought her home. It was almost like he was just waiting to see her get here....to know she was ok and that we were going to be ok. I hated having to make that decision, but that is part of my job as his companion....to make the difficult decisions that will keep him comfortable. It was peaceful, we got to say goodbye....and Dr. Wifey kissed him as he went to Rainbow Bridge.
It has been a tough few days

Good morning! I hope everyone had a good rest in the weekend and now are ready to hit the week!

I'm getting ready to meet other Lithuanian girl at 'Starbucks' to discuss ideas for the international evening the society is having in few weeks time. I saw a message on 'facebook' that Pumpkin Spice Latte had finally been introduced here, in the UK on Thursday so I guess it will be a perfect chance for me to try it for the first time. ^^ What a nice way to start the week. :] Have a nice day, and I will see you all in the evening!
make sure to add a countdown to Christmas clock to your party!

Good morning!
I am going to be super busy today. I just remembered that I have a neurologist appointment this morning. I really don't want to go, I have so many other things to do before I go in to work. I rescheduled my last two appointments though so I need to go today. I'm going to walk the dogs as soon as everyone is off to school and work and then get dinner started in my crock pot. I guess I'll have to catch up with my chores later today.
I will "see" everyone later tonight.
I hope everyone has a great day!!!
busy day for you, hope all goes well

********** MILESTONE DAY **********

Good Milestone Morning, Declining Balance Friends!

Check out the numbers:
Days to the Season: 37
Days to Christmas Day: 79

We - Have - Arrived.
THE HOME STRETCH HAS STARTED!
Ninety percent of our journey has been completed and nothing -- not a single further Milestone -- stands between us and the begining of Christmas Season 2013, barely over a month away now!
(Can it be? Can it really be??)

A very brief hard rain fell last night.
This morning has started damp but without active precipitation.
We stand at a warmish 73 degrees here in the capital city at this hour.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Folks!

I fear this time of year as we are so close, and time flies so quickly that it is here and gone in a heartbeat! If I could work my will, I'd slow time to half the normal speed from November 13th to Jan 1...Alas, times does what time does...it flies...Happy milestone none-the-less with a special thanks to my friend Crown for their able countdown updates all year long, they have brightened more than a few dark days for me this year...and it has been a REALLY hard year...

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

The Luke Bryan concert was a hit, and his road crew had his equipment packed up and hauled away before daylight this morning, on the next gig. The outdoor event was about three miles from my house, and my windows rattled till it was over LOL.

It's been so busy here at work for the last few days, I feel a bit out-of-touch. Hopefully, things are normalizing now.

Here's a link to an article the local paper did on my son & me. Check it out!

I hope y'all have a great day!

Loved the article Brad!!! How awesome!

Good afternoon everyone!

Just stopping by for a quick hello! How about the 'Pines last night?! Ol' Carl knows how to throw an October party! I wonder how he will celebrate next week. After all, it is the final 'Pines Day before our Thanksgiving here in Canada. Hopefully he keeps that in mind. Perhaps some nice tri-cornered hats with a few Thanksgiving specials... a mixture of Columbus Day and our Thanksgiving.

I think I should provide an update on my apartment/employment situation. They have both been solved. Kim and I are going to remain at our apartment until the end of April. Our friend Cassie is moving out of her place with her sister and needed a place to live until the same time next year. She plans on moving in with her boyfriend next Spring, but didn't want to quite yet as they have only been dating for less than a year. Anyway, she asked if she could move in with us. We really like the idea. We aren't forced into renting a place we don't really want and the market should be a lot better when all the students move out in the spring.

In regards to employment, I start a new admin position with an Engineering company on Monday. I had an interview last week. I didn't really think much of it, but they seemed to enjoy me. It's a maternity leave contract that lasts until the end of May. The pay is OK and I receive a $2500 bonus if I remain for the entirety of the contract. By my calculations, the bonus combined with my tax return should basically pay for my trip to Italy and a few places around Europe next summer. Just in case, I will do some savings at the position, too.

Well, including today, I have two more days left of unemployment. It's been a good run but I am ready to work. Luckily, I think I will be able to enjoy the comforts of MMC at the new job, too.

Have a great Thursday, everyone! We're really closing in on 90% and the Season is becoming more evident with each day that passes!

Awesome news Brent! Good luck today!!!

I'm jumping in here b/c I'm pretty sure I won't be able to read ALL the posts since Thursday...but I'll try!!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!!! What a rainy weekend we had. Saturday was pretty nice but it rained in the morning & at night. Yesterday was pretty much a wash out! I got a lot of crocheting done anyway! I have some pics to post on the blossoms thread from Ben Franklin.

Have a Merry Monday!

I totally agree! Sorry it has been such a hard year!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I don't have anything exciting planned for today. I have to do some work this afternoon on my part-time business.

On the plus side, the kids are out school today for their fall break, so I don't have to eat lunch alone!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Good Afternoon MMC Gang!

How are you?

I had a great weekend! Saturday the weather was very rainy and foggy, so I didn't feel ashamed watching TV all day. Our official state TV channel was sending live from our biggest airport. They showed many interesting parts. Over all it was an amazing show. I liked flying and planes before but now I like it even more.
Yesterday the weather was more or less the same and I spend the day working on my travel journal. I got farther than I thought I would and I'm very happy about it.
My work day has been very busy so far, I'm just taking a short break. Anyway a week from today I'm having a week holiday. Really looking forward to it.
Was anyone affected by the snow storm? I saw pictures from South Dakota and it looked like deep winter.
Weather forecast says we will have a big temperature drop around thursday. The temperature will only be around 48°, snowline will drop to about 1000-800 meters above sea level. Guess winter wants to say hello!
Last year we had the first snow in our village on October 28th.
no snow here yet, just lots of rain and looks like we will get more today.
When I lived in Smithers British Columbia years ago I used to love watching the snow come down the mountain.

Happy Milestone Day MMC!!!!!!! It's a beautiful day here with the high only getting to the mid 60's. I finally broke down and went to the ER this morning to get my foot checked. Mainly because I was threatened within an inch of my life by Sugar and Snowflake if I didn't go. LOL!!!! I was pretty sure that I knew what was wrong already but the doctor confirmed it. I have a stress fracture of one of the metatarsal bones. So for the next 4 to 6 weeks I get to wear some fancy new footwear and use Crutches. Which I hate and probably won't use. I'll just use a cane to keep some of the weight off of it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Monday everyone.......workers in the house to lay new waterpipes......terrible loud...haha....but oh well....it gots to be done.

I hope they didn't take to long it get it done!!!

I agree. Time always flies once we get to October. Hopefully this year will be different.

Sorry it's been such a hard year for you. Praying the rest of the year goes smoothly and next year is amazing.

Hi guys! I have a question that only you can answer...

Any outdoor decorating ideas involving a wooden Radio Flyer wagon? I broke my wooden sled (boo hoo!) and am hoping to incorporate this wagon, maybe, instead? Any ideas?
