Breathtaking! I LOVE autumn!

The autumn view from my window at the office.

Beautiful! It was dark at first, but I kept going back. Thanks for sharing your beautiful village!

As I said, the temps are falling through the day and the snow gets lower and lower.

This here is a webcam showing the hill " Seebodenalp"above our village (leading to the mountain):

This one is from the mountain itself. The Rigi is our "house" mountain, because my village lays at the bottom of it:

I hope your son will feel better soon.

Cinnamon stick tea - yummy! I am cruising along on the paperwork - it's not hard stuff to do, just tedious. The frequent pauses for MMC breaks make it not so bad! :D

Hubby and I went to Wal-Mart earlier. I said that it is almost Canadian Thanksgiving. He said he wished we could celebrate it again this year like we did last year, but now that we have our building permit, we have to get everything out of the kitchen/den. There will be lots of restaurant food for us for a while! Hmm. I could order a turkey dinner at one of our hometown restaurants!

I am picking up our turkey and alll the fixings today for our thanksgiving.
Is it not a good thing that items are sell already? I know I like the deals, but as a retailer it will benefit the bottom line that people are paying full price for items.
Hope you have a great day today!

Coach, Hubby and I celebrated it last year. I used that as a time to try new Thanksgiving recipes that I don't really get to use since everyone wants to have the same menu year-to-year. It was a blast! I will try to find my post from last year so you can see what we had! I do remember we had chocolate pumpkin cupcakes!

I wish our Thanksgiving was coming soon...I love reading about our friends up North having theirs soon...maybe Dr. Wifey, Lil Bambina, and I will have a meal to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend...

The best thing about Thursday is that tomorrow is Friday! Yall have a good day!

Coach, here is my post from last year #28286 regarding Canadian Thanksgiving. It was SO GOOD!!!

...At one of the doctor's offices, there was an OLD issue of Sunset magazine (November 2011). We decided to try the recipes from it for Monday because we have a set menu for the US Thanksgiving. Anyway, here's our menu (most recipes from the mag!): Brined Turkey (not from the mag, but we know this is good and can't stray from our regular recipe; we bought an eight pounder); Sage Gravy (our regular recipe); Wild Mushroom and Butternut Squash Bread Pudding; Fingerling Potatoes with Bacon Cream; Roasted Cauliflower and Shallots; Cranberry Sauce (store-bought); Homemade Rolls; Chocolate Chunk Pumpkin Cupcakes; and Pouilly-Fuisse White Burgundy (thanks to the recommendation by LaurieBear).

I can feel her pain. She is so conscientious, so this makes it extra hard on her!

good wednesday afternoon, my christmas friends!

Elizabeth lost several videos that she and some classmates had recorded for a school project. They had used her tablet to record the video, and on the last day of recording, the tab said it was low on memory. She thought she was deleting old photos, but apparently deleted her weeks worth of video, instead.

She was brokenhearted and crying, and I almost cried because she was crying...lol. they're scrambling, trying to put together something fast, but she's still feeling like she let her friends down. bless her heart.

oh well. now ain't always, I guess.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

LOVE it!!!

I got to the Pines and the first words out of Carls mouth was "Did you see me?" When I told him that I had no idea what he was talking about, he started playing this clip over and over and over again on all of the TV's.

Video bombing the president? That camel is crazy!!!! I'm surprised the secret service didn't lock him up!!!!!

I am with you on that, CAH. I can watch them all by myself if I have to!

I love Christmas Eve on Sesame Street and even though the show might be intended for young kids, I will still watch it with or without children around. The show is cute and I love the music! Yep, I watched it all by myself last night. cheesy

Seawaters, it is so good to see you back here!

As you may have read in some of my earlier posts I have been rearranging furniture during the past few days. Today, Palmer has been rearranging her toys! She has been carrying her teddy bear all around and placing it in various spots. Once placed, she sits and stares at it for a few minutes and then picks it up and moves it to another spot. Right now she has it hugging a box. As to her jingle balls, she is lining them up in prime play positions.

She is being a Sweet Pea again today!!! :D

I'd love to be around to see that. I'd like to have a "sweet pea" like that around the house!

I love all these winter editions of coffee and tea. They are usually super delicious!

I'm waiting for Stash Holiday Chai ... couldn't find it at all last year, but enjoyed it in 2011.

ok, for tomorrows dinner
I got the turkey and stuffing
broccoli, corn, coleslaw and cranberries
potatoes and gravy
buns
pickled onions, beets and pickles
apple pie, pumpkin pie with whip cream
I feel like I am missing something...

Sounds delish! Enjoy!!!

I love the one with Sandra Bernhard when she is working in a diner and tells the specials of the day, especially: ham with donuts! I laugh out loud every time. I also love the tossed salad!

I saw two of them first-run (I'm showing my age again!): The Muppet Movie, and The Muppets Take Manhattan. I have the Muppet Christmas Carol on DVD. (The menus are a hoot ... if you don't select something right away, Kermit tries to hurry you up!)
