Hey Christmas buddies! Another day another dollar! Just 2 more days for me and I will be on my 2 week annual Halloween vacation! If I take the 2 week fall vacation that makes it impossible for me to be off at Thanskgiving except the regular 2 days of Thurs, and Friday! And I also plan to take 3 weeks at Christmas then that is it for vacation until next summer! So I have a lot to look forward too! I hope everyone is having a great Autumn thus far I know I am I just wish it would kinda slow down some, but I guess that is how it goes with 2 small babies. James is getting ready for his first bd next month he is already taking steps it makes me realize how fast they grow up! Well I am off to eat dinner and then clean up dishes. Have a great evening everyone!

It is getting colder so if your attic is not heated he will not be either and will hibernate in some corner. Or he just got bored because you never come up to see him anymore and left for someplace more fun!

That would be great if he got bored and left - the only thing is I never saw him leave so there is no way of knowing for sure. That is the scary part!

You all guys did an amazing job! Despite the fact that it was kinda windy and the sky was all covered with dark clouds, it didn't rain! So thank you all for that. The field trip went very well and it was more fun than I had expected. :]

I sent out my documentation for the exchange on Tuesday and, luckily, I have received my academic transcript earlier today! I found it in the mail when I came back home from the campus. I'm so happy that I can send it to Amsterdam tomorrow! Yay! ^^

I also bought this amazing tea of mulled wine flavour with honey. I tried it few days ago at my friend's place and I fell in love with it! <3 I found it at the local Polish shop. It was quite expensive - £1.17 for a tiny box of 8 tea bags - but it's definitely worth the price! So delicious! (The tea brand is 'Lloyd' in case anyone is interested.) Holiday-inspired flavour I'd say. ^^

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to take Lulu to the vet last night for an emergency visit. She seemed to be choking on something, and I couldn't see any thing in her throat. They said her tonsils are swollen (I didn't even know dogs had tonsils :?) and some lymph nodes are, too. The gave her a steroid shot and sent us home with more steroid pills, so hopefully that'll do the trick. Now I just have to pay the vet.

More Vice-Presidents in the office today, so I'm keeping a low profile.

NO!!! The attic is unfinished, though, and so mice do get in occasionally through the roof vent. Rat/corn/fox snakes eat mice and they climb, too, so that could be how/why it got in in the first place. No evidence of mice down here for months, which is good as don't want them in the house but, bad as I don't know why they aren't coming in any more. Too many variables!!!

I went outside this morning and found that someone had dropped off an orange tabby kitten. How could someone could do such a thing I'll never understand. It was cold and rainy out - the poor kitten must have been terrified. Friendly little guy and I would have loved to have kept him but, something told me I shouldn't. I called my cousin and she came over to take a look and he went home with her. At least I'll get to visit him!

There are some tasks I need to do for the store yet tonight. Where has the day gone? Seems like I just woke up and here I am again, behind where I wanted to be. That being said, I had better get to those tasks!

the poor thing, I hope he does well. Perhaps someone could no longer look after it, I wish however they had taken him to a shelter then.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Beautiful! I want to go there!!! There is some chatter in our family about a trip to Massachusettes next October to surprise my bro for his bday! Too bad Cape Cod is so far from YCV!

It's really not that far, you would have to make a daytrip of it but there are a lot of restaurants and other things out in Western Mass. Down the road from Yankee Candle is Magic Wings Butterfly Conservatory, Kringle Candle a little farther to the north, The Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, and all the leaf peeping out on this side of the state in October, etc...

I totally agree with you! It doesn't give the people who work in retail time to spend with their families. I know I work on holidays, but I choose a profession that does so and I knew that going into my job. I know my sister said when she worked in retail, that Black Friday was the worst day of the year, every year!

The sad thing is I use to love working on Black Friday, it was one of the most fun days of the year to work. Now it is more of a watch your back type of day.
