That's crazy that school was delayed three hours. School is rarely delayed even two hours around here. We can have a foot of snow and school will still be in session! I love Bingo! Have fun!

Morning all. hope your all well on this cool Tuesday afternoon. We are getting a new bedroom fitted, so I'm hanging around the house like a spare wheel lol. The dark nights are well and truly here, yeah. Just need some Christmas lights to brighten everything up. I'll have to make do with some candles till then. Have a good night folks!

I remember feeling that way in a college literature class when we were assigned to write 10 to 12 pages on the meaning of a play (each student was assigned to read a different play). Mine was "Rhinoceros" by Ionesco---an Absurdist play that, by definition, has no meaning! I got around it by reiterating that Absurdists insist that their work has no meaning---but if we were determined to impose meaning on it anyway, here's what it might mean. I got a good grade for it!

I definitely intend on pointing that out in my critique! That would be an extreme challenge to write the meaning of a play that didn't really have one! I am glad that you figured out a way to do well on the assignment! I have to improvise on many of mine as well.

Good afternoon,

I spent most of the day laying down in bed, I can only stand up for about 5 minutes before my back really hurts. It has been a real lazy day for me, I hate when I feel like I am not helpful around the house.

It is a dreary day out here in mid-Michigan. I cleaned house this morning, much to Palmer's dismay. It took me a while to get back into her good graces. She is now "helping" me work on store tasks.

It's pretty nice out! The sun is shining but the air is cool. As long as the wind doesn't kick up then it will be nice to go outside for a little while. I just got home not too long ago. I was out with my friend and her son - he is three and such a character. He told me that if I gave him candy for Trick or Treat that he would share with me, lol!

I am going to relax for the rest of the afternoon and evening. I have an appointment early tomorrow so I will have to get up relatively early to get ready.

I have a houseful of afghans, as you might imagine, but not one Christmas afghan. So I may get selfish and keep it. It would be super for curling up next to the Christmas tree! But if I can finish it early enough, I may try to sell it for Santa's Sleigh. I have an idea in mind that could keep the price in a more accessible range for more people while still raising a decent donation. I could always make another one for myself, after all! :smile:

Good evening Christmas friends! First, I want to thank everyone for praying for affordable ticket for me to go home on Holidays. It's very kind of you, and I really appreciate that. <3 How was your day? The weather has been very nice here today. Sunny with crispy air, and kinda chilly in the morning. ^^ I hope that you guys have had more entertaining day than me - writing the essay. I'm now waiting for my friend to come. She is trying out some new recipes she came across lately and she has made a cake using one of them tonight so we are going to 'test' it, heh. Have a lovely and cozy evening everyone!

I'm about ready to clock out of the office for the night. I've been spending the last 3 days here, designing and laying out (using a 3D software) the entire new plumbing system for an elementary school in southern Maryland. So, I'm about done staring at the computer all day.

I'm hooking up with the wife tonight (near the office here in just a bit) and we are going out for dinner and maybe do some window shopping at the mall nearby. I saw on the mail yesterday, a buy 2/ get 2 for free, Yankee Candle coupon, we might use that tonight. We might also stop by the Godiva Chocolate store and get some chocolate dipped strawberries and such....:-D

How come no one will call all day long but as soon as I lay down on the couch, the phone starts ringing off the hook?

Oh well. I managed about an hour of sleep in between phone calls. I feel worse now though than I did before I took the nap!! LOL!!!! Time to fire up the coffee pot.

Curious: Which candles do you like better? Slatkin & Co. (Bath & Body Works) or Yankee Candle?

I'm a candle nut. I have an entire end-table filled with candles and we are filling up another one. I have always preferred Slatkin & Co. ones from Bath and Body. They smell much more fragrant to me and I like their scents better in general. Their Fresh Balsam and Evergreen candles are my favorites! I know a lot of people like Yankee Candle so I am wondering if I'm missing something.

If you like Yankee, which scent is your favorite? Maybe I will give them another shot. It's that time of year where I need to start buying Christmas/winter candles! :smile:

I'm really looking forward to putting the Christmas lights up too. At least we have a couple of Jack-o-lanterns lit up at night, for now!

I like them all, different scents from different companies. I even like Colonial- bought one on clearance last week- Falling Leaves! Love it!!
I just always make sure it's a strong enough scent, so it burns nice.

Three is a great age, I love the things they say when they are that young.
