My demented sense of humor took over as soon as I saw the picture of Santa. I thought it would have been hilarious if Santa had a hole in his sock and his big toe was sticking out.

TGIF my Christmas friends!!

I hope everyone had a great week.I had a busy week with work and today I am headed to my youngest daughter's school for their Veterans Day Celebration...her class is singing a song.

Then tonight we are going to get a kitten..I have never owned a cat before but my kids have been begging and begging so my hubby and I agreed.

We wrote out Thanksgiving menu last night..I just love this time of year!! I just put on my Christmas music..

Hope everyone has a great weekend...I really do enjoy this site..such nice people!

You will love your new kitten, we have 5 cats and we just adore them.

This is Ophelia, she is our princess since she is our only girl.

To make your post easier to find you should put it on your blog also, I think we all know how hard it is to find certain posts in the Countdown threads. That way if we want to read it down the road we could easily find it, it was such a great post.

LOL!!! Great minds think a like!!! I put it there at the same time I posted it here.

Thank you for your special post. I am honoured to be one of those reading your personal story. I've never thought that joining an online community can actually impact someone's life so significantly, but I can now see that sometimes it really does. I also hope that there won't be downs like these in your life anymore. Everyone should live their life in its best! :]

Thank you VictoriaLT!!!!!!!

Beautiful, Made. Remember that support here is real and most of us would try to help others out as well as we can through a computer screen. We may not "know" each other, but we all know each other. You, my friend are family as far as I am concerned.

Great post.

Thanks, Xmas!!!!!

Hey, It's Friday evening....Let the weekend commence!!!
I just got in from picking Victoria up from school and then I went up to pick up my pickup truck from the mechanic. I was driving home last week and I lost my breaks at an intersection (brake line burst) :o. Luckily, I was able to downshift and use the emergency brake to stop the truck. I drove another three miles that way and coasted it into the shop without hitting any traffic lights along the way (someone was looking out for me)!

The mechanic said that they had to replace the entire brake line from the master cylinder to the rear of the truck (rotted), replace both wheel cylinders and the rear brake hoses. After everything was said and done, it cost me around $450.00 dollars. I don't know, I guess that was ok with labor and all, at least I got the truck back and I have brakes now!

I guess tonight may be a movie night tonight for me and vicki, since the wife and son are working tonight....

Glad you managed to make it to the shop safely. I've had that happen to me before I know how scary it is. That doesn't seem like too bad of a price either for all the work they did. Enjoy your movie night!!

Good afternoon, everyone! Hope you're all having a great day! We're headed to look at a new car right now.

I will stop by later!

Good luck, if it is the Traverse, I think you will enjoy the way that one drives.

Good afternoon!
The time is flying by today. I have been cleaning the house and doing laundry all morning. I need to get out of here and run some errands. Just having a quick cup of coffee first. I need to run to Target for an iron. My iron just randomly stopped working this morning. I haven't had it for that long. My mother has had the same iron for 40 years. Go figure. I also need to go to the butcher. And I may take a ride to the mall with my youngest when she gets home from school. She's going to show me a pair of boots that she wants for Christmas. I really haven't been doing much Christmas shopping, I have to stop dragging my feet and get started!
I hope everyone is well and is having a great day!!!
a busy lady as always! I need my iron the other day and had to look for quite sometime before finding it, it had been that long since I used it! LOL
Have fun shopping!

It's the weekend! It is warm here...about 60F and sunny. No more snow in the next few days but it will be very nice. Lows in the mid 30's and highs around 60 which is a little above normal! I am getting ready for the Georgia game tomorrow afternoon. Next Saturday is the big game(auburn) it should be very good...this week they are playing a small college in North Carolina..I hope they win or it will be a major embarrassment. Anyway hope everyone has a great afternoon. I am getting ready to eat burritos it's our monthly office luncheon!!
you are going to be busy, good luck with the games.

It's tough to hear that you your brakes through an intersection, but I am so glad you made it to where you needed to get to with no issue.

I hope you don't mind - I just sent this to my friend Missy! We go round & round about cats!!! Hee hee!

Good evening to all! Happy Friday! I can't believe that another week is almost gone. (I probably say it too often but that's how it feels to me.) The weather has been very nice here today. Chilly with clear sky! I spent my day at the library working on other university assessment. I haven't had any lectures today so I wanted to use my free time productively. I went grocery shopping later on and I was pleased to see that one of major supermarkets are completely ready and decorated for the season! Yay! ^^ Hope you all guys are having a great evening. :]
I love spotting Christmas stuff, it is becoming more and more common the closer we get to Christmas.

yikes, so glad you kept your head and did the right thing especially that you are ok!

Good evening,

Well, it looks like my doctor has released me to work on Monday, I was getting use to this being home stuff. I had to run out to his office for the third time in 3 days for all the "new" paperwork that suddenly comes up everyday I have to have filled out.

I swear the stores out here are listening to all the complaining about Christmas stuff being out "too early" I went to 3 stores today and none were even halfway done setting up their Christmas merchandise. It is the second week of November for crying out loud!!!!

I also went to Blockbuster Video, since I heard they are closing for good, I was an assistant store manager there for 3.5 years, met my wife while working there, but I didn't leave under the best of circumstances. I felt I was being forced out because my district manager was upset that I was looking for a better paying job, she started spreading rumors and lies about me around the district. When I found out from my store manager, who was an usher at my wedding, I was just as unprofessional as she was, I got hired at my current job and basically told them I would work the last few days of my schedule, no two week notice, for that week and leave them. Which were their busiest days of the year. So I got the last laugh against her, she was very angry with me, she confronted me. Asked me if I had anything to say to her, and my response was: "Not to you." I turned my back and walked away. That was the first, last, and only time I acted that unprofessional at a job.

I am very sad for the current employees there, losing their jobs right before the holidays.

I hope you all have had a great Friday thus far.
