I never knew what a job it is to remodel just one kitchen/den area of a house! The concrete contractor came over yesterday just as we got back into town from Madera. We attended the Eagle Scout Court of Honor for our nephew. It was awesome!!! Made, Brad, and Coach (I think) are among those ranks of Eagle Scouts!!!
I remember when my son was still a baby we had a major house fire and had to rebuild the whole inside, it was so much work. It will all be worth it when it is done!

Good morning MMC! Time is going so fast! I'm still in disbelief that Thanksgiving is NEXT week! And T-day is late this year! It's crazy!

Not much going on around here today. Last night I tried to make a cornucopia - it has a little to be desired but I'm going to use it anyway. I'm planning to fill it with cheese chunks & maybe some grapes?

I stuck it in the freezer - says to keep the aluminum foil inside to hold the shape. So I will pull it out next week & see how it held up. The recipe says to fill it with cheese (or whatever you prefer) 1 day & the next day you can fill it with spinach dip & use the bread for dipping! Hmmm....

Hope you are all having a great day!!! I'm ready to get home from work & start crossing off my "to do" list for Thanksgiving!
I think it looks great! Will be so good with the filling stuffed in.

my van only has a cassette player but we have a cassette with a plug in for my ipone and and can listen to all my music through my van speakers, love it!

That's what I was trying to describe! That's what I use in my car.

That looks amazing!

I don't have a tape player. I went and bought the radio tuner but the music comes through very faint and with a lot of static. I'm out of luck!

Oh, no! There must be some way ... well, you could SING in the car ...

Good afternoon everyone!

We're nearly a week into the Christmas Season. Much like the year, it's really moving along! Sorry I missed posting this morning. I was home. I didn't quite receive a call this morning. However, I took a much needed nap.

I don't really have any plans for this afternoon. I will probably just hangout around home and then go to the gym when Kim gets home. She'll join me, of course. We have some TV shows to watch tonight but I will also see if we can throw in a Christmas movie. There's so much to watch and so little time! We've only watched Home Alone 2 thus far!

Well, I hope that everyone has been enjoying their Tuesday. The second 'Pines Day of the Season is tomorrow! Looking forward to spending it with you all!

Merry Christmas!

As most of you know, we are uber busy here with the remodeling. As I was going through some papers, I came across TWO cards from CM3, both of them polar bear ones. Here is what she wrote on the second one she sent: "Hi, Cherylle. It is only the MOST special people who get polar bear cards from me, and rarely has anyone gotten two within one year!! I hope you will like this book. It is one of my favorites, and I keep it near me all year long when I want to feel Christmas. If there are any times when you need Christmas near, just open this book and let the magic take you away, too. Merry Christmas in February with love, Luanne." Can you guess that I have tears in my eyes right now?

Good morning all. Just wanted to update everyone. Spent the night with mom at the hospice house. She is now unresponsive and getting morphine every 4 hours. I talk to her but I'm not sure she hears.

I'm not meaning to be a downer.I feel blessed to have this time with her.

Thanks again for your prayers & thoughts.

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a nice day here with a high in the mid 40's. I have some more cleaning and decorating to do but right now I have a cranky little girl here that just wants me to hold her. So that will all have to wait until later. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sending get well wishes to your niece!

stayed home from work today, sore throat, stuffed head zero energy.
I have all this stuff to do and every time I try I last about 5 min and then have to sit down.

LittleCS is working on her gingerbread log cabin and it is looking great!
My covered bridge fell apart yesterday when I foolishly decided to turn it over. Nothing broke, just came apart. So I will have to scrape off all that icing and put it back together again. sigh  Oh well, repair work in decorating cakes ect happens often, it is to be expected.

So I will spend my day resting lots and hanging out here.

I hope you are getting lots of rest today and feel better very soon!

sorry you did not get called in today, I know how hard it gets when steady work is not coming in. Hopefully it picks up for you soon.
Enjoy your workout and movie time!

I love Louann sightings, did you see the picture I posted eariler on here "a message from CM3? I had tears then too. She touched so many here, I miss her.

I hope everyone got through the storms safely.

It's so exciting to see all your Christmas trees and decorations going up!

I spent a Christmassy day … spent a good hour and a half wandering around Russell's Garden Center in Wayland looking at all their wonderful Christmas stuff---so many things I saw made me think of all of you. I also stopped at the Home Depot for some additional Christmas lights---I needed an extra string for my tree, and got a couple strings of C7s to string on the hedge out front. (As usual, I mixed white bulbs in with multicolor bulbs.) I'll string the lights on the tree when I get home from work the day before Thanksgiving (hoping that will be early!), and the outdoor lights will go up shortly after. (I just can't get the hang of outdoor decorating … my efforts usually look pretty lame. But I always attempt something.)

It was so enjoyable to spend the day doing Christmas things … I hate to go back to work tomorrow. But it'll be a four-day week, and next week will be a short week leading up to Thanksgiving (is it possible? already?!), then lots of gift-wrapping and packages and music!

Mr. is still feeling pretty rough with his cold and is very raspy, but I'm hoping he's turned the corner and will be over it in a few days. Crossing my fingers that it won't latch onto me next. I'm going to try to get some hot tea into him this evening.

I hope Mr. is better soon! Glad you had a Christmas-y kind of day - those are such fun!!

It seems like everytime I get on Facebook the number of confirmed Tornado's yesterday keeps rising. It's now up to 23 and they are still out there investigating. That stands as the thrid most in a single day in Indiana history.

May that record never be broken! I'm praying for all those affected, in any way, by the storms/tornadoes.

Thanks. It's amazing there were only a couple of minor injuries. There was one couple in a house that got tore off of it's foundation and flipped up side down. They walked away with just a few bumps and bruises. There was a car picked up and thrown into the front of a starbucks. No one was hurt though. Two schools got hit but luckily there wasn't any one in them. It's just amazing to see the destruction and know that no one got killed.

Wow, truly amazing stories!

Good afternoon, Christmas family!

Camden update: he has an infection and has been put on some very strong antibiotics. He is also taking a bottle now - good appetite! He is a cutie, but so hard to see him hooked up to machines!

It is a gorgeous day here in mid-Michigan - sunny and cool. I ran a few errands in town earlier. Went to the Mission store and found a few items for the store - always happy when that happens. It really isn't easy to find things, esp. at this time of the year. That is why I only go hunting for merch. when I have other errands to run - that way if I don't find anything I am not too disappointed. There are chores waiting for me so I had best get going.

Be MERRY!!!
