Hi all,

we're having our family Christmas at our house (for the first time in yonks) on the 21st Dec! Plans are in the wind with me directing who brings what and I'm insisting they cook my favourites! Christmas in Australia is usually hot so we will be celebrating in the evening by the pool and eating cold meats (I'll glaze a ham) and colourful salads. I am planning to put lights around the balcony and the old gazebo so that as sun sets they will sparkle from the tropical foliage and reflect in the pool... gorgeous.

Today (Saturday)I thought I would study and have a movie playing in the background. I have all the usual technology but I found A Christmas Story on VHS in a second hand store and I have never seen it. After fiddling with the broken case on it I got it to work but then found I wasn't studying so turned it off and popped a copied tape of Deck the Halls followed by Karol's Christmas in. Thus inspired I zoomed through writing 2 essays on political correctness and offensiveness in Nevil Shute's A town like Alice!

A trip to the tip to empty the trailer of all the clippings and branches and dead plants from 3 weeks worth of gardening, dropping off some old homemade dining chairs that have seen better times to the recycling centre and I'm home again thinking about studying ... but the weather is so nice and I have some new plants to find the perfect spot for! Decisions, decisions!

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the excitement as much as I am!

Good evening,

Just a few more days of this madness to go, then the real madness of BF will be upon us. I am dreading it very much right now, I feel my anxiety build when they talk about it at work. Please, if you may, have a thought or say a prayer for me when it comes to next Friday, I am so worried I will have a panic attack, and be unable to handle the situation.

We sold just under 300 turkeys alone on Thursday, we were nearly at 100 when I left work today, I am guessing 200-250 tomorrow. My body is tired and sore from all the lifting.

I am going to bed now.

Good night, all.

Not sure if I should say goodnight or good morning...I'm up way too late. Have a great Saturday!

I will pray for you! We all know you can do this! Think of us all there cheering you on. It would be better if we were all there lifting turkey's, but right now we will have to settle for just cheering for you. :)

Sounds great! Christmas lights will be switched on in my town on Thursday, 28th. I'm not sure if there is a Christmas tree up at the same time but I'm still looking forward to that. :]

After spending my last weekend working on my habitat survey, I'm going to relax this time. I haven't been reading at all lately and I missed reading so much! So I'm going to start 'The cat who came for Christmas' by Cleveland Amory today. Has anyone read this book before? I bought this two years ago but haven't read it yet. As Holiday season is approaching quickly, I thought it's the best time to dig in the book! ;]

Best wishes to all!

***** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 11 *****

Good Morning, Second Weekend of the Season Super Stars.

Can we be this far along already?

Read today's statistics and you tell me:
Days to Thanksgiving: 5 (Gobble! Gobble!)
Days to Christmas Day: 32 (One month from the day after tomorrow!)
(Yep. We're that far along.)

We had our last warm day yesterday.
Cool today.
Cold tomorow.
Frigid tomorrow night, with our low possibly below 20 degrees.
(Hey! Is this some kind of a joke? We're in November, not January!)
It's 59 damp degrees here right now, post overnight rain.

Regardless of your weather, you have a Sensational Saturday!
Enjoy the start of your weekend, Folks.

Thank you. Have a nice weekend you too! :]

Snow squall watch for
Stratford - Mitchell - Southern Perth County continued

Snow squalls developing Saturday morning.

An Arctic cold front will sweep through Southern Ontario early Saturday morning. In the wake of this front, brisk northwesterly winds over the open water of the Great Lakes will result in the development of snow squalls southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay. Multiple snow squall bands are forecast to develop Saturday morning. As winds become more northwesterly by Saturday evening, single bands are expected to develop off Lake Huron from Strathroy to London and off Georgian Bay from Barrie and Collingwood to Innisfil. The heaviest squalls could produce snowfall amounts of 15 to 30 cm per 12 hours. Snow squalls are expected to last through Sunday before tapering off.

Visibilities near zero are possible in snow squalls and blowing snow and hazardous driving conditions are expected.

Be careful out there Christmasstar!

It's nice to see you Virgina, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

They are having the 50th Anniversary of JFK Observance going on in Downtown Dallas today. I guess we will not be going. They mentioned that 5000 invited guest will be attending and you must have an invitation to attend. I guess our invitation got lost in the mail!

You should have just showed up and been a party crasher!

Good morning!
Today is my oldest daughter's 20th birthday! I can't believe it. Where did the time go?
We will all be going out for an early dinner to celebrate her birthday. Then the girls will be going in to the city with a group of their friends to see a concert.
I need to get moving soon. I have to get my food shopping done, I have nothing in the house!
I hope everyone is well and has a very happy Saturday!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

Well, The Nutcracker Ballet is upon us! Elizabeth caught up all her school work so she could be out today. They are putting on a short version of the ballet this morning for some Statesboro elementary schools that are taking a field trip to the studio. Tonight at 7pm is the first full show. I can't wait!

I also found out that we are going to the mountains on Thanksgiving Day! Yippee! A long weekend in my favorite place!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Hoping the first performance went fabulous! That's awesome you get to go to the mountains for Thanksgiving. It will be beautiful up there!
