Good evening!
I had a busy day again and having the driveway sealed this morning threw my day off. It was quiet here after dinner so I decided to run up to the mall. I don't like going by myself at night but I still have so much more shopping to do. I picked up a couple of gifts for the girls so I'm happy I went. I got back in time to catch the end of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting.
I'm so tired, I'm going to turn in soon. I hope everyone is well and enjoys their evening.
See you in the morning.
Goodnight and sweet dreams!

Did you see that Georgia Southern here in Statesboro beat the Florida Gators last week?!?
http://college-football.si.com/2013/11/23/florida-gators-georgia-southern-will-muschamp/

who hooo! I detest the gators but the fact that little ole GSU whipped them...IT just does my heart some good. Back in the mid to late 90's when I attended GSU We played Georgia bulldogs in the opening of the season. We knew we would lose but I was just proud to be going to a school that played them. Most people I grew up with though I would just go to work after high school. Not that GSU is a easy school either...In fact back in the 90's UGA was and still is the biggest and best college public College in Ga they have about 30k students. GSU was half that size when I went there I just wanted to go to school 3 hours away from mom and dad and a school with 16,000 students isn't exactly tiny either. Out of UGA GSU and Valdosta state the latter is suppose to be the easiest but I have heard admission standards are even up there and they are about to have 20,000 students by now too. BUt I loved the town of Statesboro. Unlike Athens it really seemed like a college town. I did not mean to get off topic Brad....that just brought back memories of my GSU Eagles. I am thrilled they beat those Gators.!

well the snow is still falling here in Northern Utah! It makes the holidays so much better! I love the snow always have and even if I see it every day I just love it! I reserve that right until March at which time I possibly may get tired of it....but I don't think so. From Monday night until tonight we have received 11.5 inches in my back yard. all is still on the ground.I have been driving Brandis' Land Cruiser to work it makes me feel safer than when im in my Avalon. But I have found that driving on slush is about the same as driving on wet clay roads in Ga. I have ran in ditches plenty of times passing another car on those roads. As long as you go slow and just tap the breaks everything is ok. Now black ice and freezing rain no one should be out on that. They always say to turn you car or the wheel rather in the same direction that you are skidding to get out of a slide. I have not had to try that yet. Hope I don't have to. THey keep the roads tip top shape here.

Okay I am going to say goodnight. I will be posting more photos this month I find it makes me happy looking at my old photos. The boys are changing so fast.Jordan will be 2 next month already!!! anyways goodnight friend...I plan on coming sunday to the party I hope I get to talk to each of you!!

Good afternoon everyone!

Its Pines Day! Another Christmas Season 'Pines Day. I wish I were working, but I am at home. I received one call this morning. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take it. I'm having car troubles again. Perfect timing, I know. Perhaps Kim and I really should have purchased a (somewhat) new car this past summer after all. Despite there being less than 70,000 kms (about 48,000 miles) on my 1996 Ford Taurus, it appears that sitting around for about 10 years without being driven a whole lot really put some strain on the car.

Kim and I have already put about $1500 into the car - not including winter tires - and I am afraid that the current fix may be difficult to afford. All I can do right now is sit and wait for the mechanic to let me know the issue. The diagnostic test says it's a camshaft issue. I'm really hoping that it's not a timing belt, which could be anywhere from $400 to $1000! Ouch. Not a great time to have major car issues. Not only is it the Christmas Season, but I need my car to work every day, especially since every school is about 30 minutes to an hour away. We'll see how it goes....

As for today, not a whole lot else is happening. Just waiting for the call. Hard to believe we're already halfway through the Christmas Season. There's still so much to happen and explore. I am very excited for the rest of the Season. Tomorrow marks exactly two weeks until I return home to Sault Ste. Marie for Christmas. It's coming so fast!

Well, I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Enjoy yourself and enjoy all the Christmas Season has to offer. Merry Christmas!

Sorry to hear of your car issues, I hope the problem won't cost you too much.

Good news everyone! It appears that I have found an honest and trustworthy mechanic. I received a call from Den (mechanic) and he said that there is something wrong with one of the wires in the camshaft. I have no idea. He's Vietnamese and very difficult to understand.

Anyway, the wire is either broken or unable to be attached. He needs to purchase the part. He said it will be fixed this afternoon for $115... total. After thinking this was going to cost a fair bit of money, I am absolutely thrilled to hear that the "service engine soon" light will only cost me this much... and, of course, be shut off in the process.

Now, I just have to hope that it can be fixed within the next two hours so it doesn't delay my gym time!

That's great!!!! (I guess I should have read a little further) cheesy

I called in my greeting this afternoon :) Looking forward to hearing all of yours again this year, too!

I will probably call mine in on Tuesday, I sound funny right now with the stuffy nose and scratchy throat. cheesy

The lighting of the Rockefeller center Christmas tree is on!!! Carl has it on every single screen at the pines.

I think that note by Mariah Carey just blew out all of the speakers though.

the lighting of the tree at the Rockefeller center just started on NBC

Definitely on my bucket list:
Going to see the Rockefeller Center tree/Christmastime in New York City.

Good evening,

What started as a horrible day at work ended pretty well. I was able to talk to one of my supervisors for about 20 minutes and got a lot off my chest. I feel a whole lot better, and I may have really helped myself out in the long run. I had been feeling so down lately, but the talk has lifted my spirits. I am ready to enjoy the season to the fullest extant again.

I have to work in the morning, so I will be heading to bed.

Good night, everyone.
