Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's another busy day here at work, and it doesn't help that it's overcast and going to be 80° today. Well, we're going to get the Christmas tree tonight, so that will help!

I put up the front porch tree last night. It's one of those that plays music, and the lights dance and change color with the music. I love that tree!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Have fun picking out your tree!!!!!!

This is beautiful. I love to hear about the Christmas spirit in action!

We got our tree!!!

Saw some cute table trees and said to Noah, "We should get one for Mum and Pap!" (My mom and dad). My mom has been kinda down the last few Christmases and hasn't done a tree. They have these little 2' entry way type trees they pop out in the living room to make it look decorated for mine and Noah's sake on Christmas, but she just hasn't felt like decorating or celebrating due to some family issues.

We talked about it, bought our tree and then went back to buy one of the small ones for them. When we went back in the man asked if something was wrong. I explained what I intended and went for the small trees.
He cuts me off and says, "Hang on... we can do something better than those. I have an idea." He takes a 6' frasier that had a bare spot down low which wasn't selling because of it. Cuts off the bottom, cleans it up and voila, he presented us with the prettiest little 3.5' Frasier Fir. Then said, "Hey that was a damaged tree... I can't possibly charge you more than $5 for it." He winked at us and handed over the little newly netted tree.

And I went home with our tree, a little bit of a Christmas spirit for my parents and my first experience of "good will toward men," for this Christmas season. :-)

ok, enough talking, just looked at the clock, I have to leave for work.
Almost all our snow is gone, had rain over night. We were lucky, most areas around us are cancelling school buses because of ice rain.
Hopefully the snow comes back soon.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Have fun at work!!!!

Good morning everyone!, I'm up early this morning, off to Brecon cathedral to put up a tree for the Christmas tree festival. I'm kinda worried as I had a trial at it yesterday and it's not right but I am sure I will get it right once I have the cathedrals ambience to inspire me! :)

I'm sure it will look beautiful when you are done with it!!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be 60 degree's here today with a some rain hanging around. I don't have much on the agenda. I need to run to the store and then it will be back home to get some stuff done. I'm also debating if I should put up my outside decorations. I only have my spiral tree left after all of the storms last year broke everything. So I may just skip it this year. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Did you see that Georgia Southern here in Statesboro beat the Florida Gators last week?!?

ROFL I do not believe this. LOL Is there no place to escape? I went to Georgia Tech. My husband played OL for University of Florida. And no I have no sides. I married into a die-hard football family and listen to my FIL's tales of woe anytime Florida has a loss. Branch of their family is die-hard for Georgia. You'd think it was Hatfields and McCoys revisited on that game day. LOL

Hello all. Today is the first of my three very long days. On top of it we have winter weather coming to mess up some travel. Yikes!

Hope y'all have a great Wednesday!

Great pictures, thanks for sharing.

Good morning,

Resting up before heading to work, it is my late shift today. I am still not feeling too well, but after being out a week with my back last month I really can't miss another day. I started getting the other room prepped for the 7.5 foot tree, rearranging the furniture and wrapping the door in gold paper. I am hoping to start working on the tree tomorrow after work.

I will talk to you all tonight.

Ha! I'm not a big football fan, but EVERYONE around here supports the Georgia Southern Eagles. They're still showing clips of that game, as well as last weekend's impossible last-second touchdown that put Auburn over Alabama.

Good afternoon everyone!

Its Pines Day! Another Christmas Season 'Pines Day. I wish I were working, but I am at home. I received one call this morning. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take it. I'm having car troubles again. Perfect timing, I know. Perhaps Kim and I really should have purchased a (somewhat) new car this past summer after all. Despite there being less than 70,000 kms (about 48,000 miles) on my 1996 Ford Taurus, it appears that sitting around for about 10 years without being driven a whole lot really put some strain on the car.

Kim and I have already put about $1500 into the car - not including winter tires - and I am afraid that the current fix may be difficult to afford. All I can do right now is sit and wait for the mechanic to let me know the issue. The diagnostic test says it's a camshaft issue. I'm really hoping that it's not a timing belt, which could be anywhere from $400 to $1000! Ouch. Not a great time to have major car issues. Not only is it the Christmas Season, but I need my car to work every day, especially since every school is about 30 minutes to an hour away. We'll see how it goes....

As for today, not a whole lot else is happening. Just waiting for the call. Hard to believe we're already halfway through the Christmas Season. There's still so much to happen and explore. I am very excited for the rest of the Season. Tomorrow marks exactly two weeks until I return home to Sault Ste. Marie for Christmas. It's coming so fast!

Well, I hope everyone is having a great Wednesday. Enjoy yourself and enjoy all the Christmas Season has to offer. Merry Christmas!

Good news everyone! It appears that I have found an honest and trustworthy mechanic. I received a call from Den (mechanic) and he said that there is something wrong with one of the wires in the camshaft. I have no idea. He's Vietnamese and very difficult to understand.

Anyway, the wire is either broken or unable to be attached. He needs to purchase the part. He said it will be fixed this afternoon for $115... total. After thinking this was going to cost a fair bit of money, I am absolutely thrilled to hear that the "service engine soon" light will only cost me this much... and, of course, be shut off in the process.

Now, I just have to hope that it can be fixed within the next two hours so it doesn't delay my gym time!

Praying that your car only needs minor repairs, friend.

Merry Christmas to you & Kim, too!
