Looking forward so much to hearing the Santa Tracking programming on Kringle Radio starting tomorrow morning! I have work to finish waiting on my desk at the office, but I hope it's slow after that so I can listen.

Good morning!!! Sounds like we have some extreme weather around the US on this Dec. 22nd! Heat waves, flooding & ice storms! Crazy!

I just looked up my brothers flight & there is no update saying that it's not on time, so fingers crossed. Hopefully they have NO ISSUES!! So excited!!!

I need to make up some candy trays for the neighbors today & hopefully Jim will deliver them for me! I should get to the grocery store to get my goodies for Bruschetta on Christmas Eve! I'm sure we will do something as a family once my bro/sil get here - maybe just hang out at mom/dads. I'm not sure what time the Bengals play today? But I'm sure many family members will be tuned in, including my hubby!! It's nice to have no major plans so I can get some last minute things done - but yet I like to have something fun & Christmassy to do with other peeps! Lol!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! The temperature is dropping and the wind has picked up but at least the rain has stopped!!! I'm thinking about everyone who is still in the path of the storm though. It's a nasty one!!! The pictures of flooding from around town are crazy. I'm guessing the water at the front of our complex is down since I got my paper this morning though. Not to much going on here today. I have a few things i want to get my eggs boiled for my macaroni salad and my celery and onions chopped. That way it doesn't take me to long to throw it together tomorrow. Then we will be going out to my sister's for Mom's birthday dinner and cake and ice cream. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

always nice to have a slow day, we are having that here too. Lazy people here cannot even be bothered to do the dishes! (my rant for now)
But no one moving here, I am doing a few things other than just sitting, but nothing urgent to do. Wondering if they have power out at the store, expecting them to call me because so many live out of town.

It got even better! We just sat for a while looking at the Christmas tree and relaxing. Then we went downstairs and watched a 1955 Lawrence Welk Christmas show (16mm), "It Came Upon the Midnight Clear" (16mm), and "The Bishop's Wife" (DVD), then came upstairs for a bite of supper and watched a 1954 episode of "Your Hit Parade" with a Christmas theme. Yeah! An entire evening of Christmas!

I haven't watched Fir crazy yet. Still on my DVR. Loved Very Merry Mix Up. I do wish they would air it again before Christmas. It was accidentally deleted. I scrolled ahead and did a search but I didn't find it. So far my fav movie this year has been Christmas for a Dollar on the Up channel.

According to tvguide.com A Very Mery Mix Up is going to be on again Christmas night at 7:30 pm! Fir Crazy is on now, & again Dec 25th at 12am & 3 pm.

Oh my gosh Made! That is a lot of rain!! I haven't been out to see what's out there, but it rained SO hard for so long yesterday/last night. Our phones were going crazy - Flood Warnings, Sever Tstorm warnings.... what a night! I hope everyone in your area is safe & dry! WOW! Who would ever think you would be dealing with flooding like that on Dec. 22nd?!

Years ago when we were having kids we had friends who were supper organized, they had day planners before anyone heard of them. They planned on having their first 2 years after they got married and the next 2 years after that.
Their son arrived right on schedule. Then right on schedule they were pregnant again 2 years later....with triplets.
We never let them live it down!! LOL

Well I am sitting down to a quick bite to eat because after I cooked breakfast this morning I went back to sleep, as usual I made too much so there is leftovers. It looks like the average member of my family will gain 20 to 30 pounds this Holiday!! I mean this is bordering on gluttonous I think!! We did not attend Mass this morning but we will go Christmas eve of course. All 20 of us and it is so special having the family there and hearing the music and lighting the candles, it's such a spiritual time it's hard to explain but I am sure most of yall know too! Well I need to take the dogs out for a stroll! Check back in later !

The rain is crazy here. The entrance to my apartment has been flooded since mid afternoon. I don't know what the people who were out and about are going to do to get back in because it's definitely to high to drive through and it's going to keep raining until 2am or so.

Hope the water is starting to go down. Stay safe out there.

Water rescues going on 3 miles down the road and my sister and aunt are without power. In a way though, it's probably not as bad as it would have been had me got it as 40 inches of snow like they were saying earlier in the week.

Hey everybody!!! I don't know where the last several days have gone, but I have been thinking about all of you every day & wanting to get on here, but darn....I keep running out of time! (bosses being in the office doesn't help either!)

We just had a great night. We had NO PLANS at all, which just doesn't seem right, right before Christmas. SO I texted our neighbors & told them whoever doesn't have anything going on, come over for some Christmas cheer - drinks & snacks. We had a ball. Them last minute plans are the best!! 4 couples ended up coming over & 2 sons of the 1 couple + our friends stopped it. It turned into a great night. Lots of laughs!! Tomorrow my brother & SIL come in from Cape Cod - hopefully the flooding around here doesn't cause any issues!!!! Can't wait to see them again!!!

I'm worried about my Buster. His back end seems to get weaker every day. He seems confused. Not sure if he really even knows what is going on anymore...but he eats like a champ & doesn't seem to be in any pain...BUT I'm afraid the end is coming soon for my friend! Hate it!

So - I am sitting here covered up in my Christmas afghan, watching Christmas Magic, by tree light - something I haven't been able to do enough of this season & I am loving every minute of it. It's almost 2am so I should go to bed...but I don't want too!!!!

So I'm off to read some posts & feel even more Christmassy!!! Hope all is well with all of you!!!

Goodmorning MMC!

It's 7am and I'm up and rolling. Bud and I watched Christmas movies till 4am. LOL. Hopefully I'll finish my remaining projects today.

I'm almost at my wall of ready to quit and just sit and watch movies in front of the tree. It's this moment that leaves me asking, "Why is it again I feel the need to make the presents?" LOL

And why is it always my mom's present that is the last to finish and almost always the most difficult?

*sigh* Sometimes I think I do it to distract myself from the impending sense of doom that befalls me on December 26th. LOL
