So nice to hear everyone's Mother's Day stories & traditions!

We had a lovely lunch & visit with Mom yesterday.

Adrian & Harlowe had a nice surprise for me, too. Adrian bought me beautiful paw print necklace with Harlowe's birthstone in it, and she brought it out to me Adrian had placed it around her neck- it was so sweet & thoughtful! I was very touched.

My 4 year old granddaughter wished her mom Happy Mother's Day ALL DAY LONG yesterday! My daughter said she repeated that wish to her mom about every 20-30 minutes from the time she got up until she went to bed. She would give her mom a big hug every time she said it. She is just so adorable and lovable! It really made my daughter's day to hear that all day long. When they came by yesterday my granddaughter kept telling me the same thing. They were over for about a half hour and I think I heard it at least 5-6 times. My grandsons told me a couple of times as well! I just love them!!! Of course!

That's very nice. :] I wish I had done this to my mum when I was little.

Thanks Stacey, our appointment is over. We have another referral and then a follow up assessment in 8-10 weeks after which they will decide the next step. The specialist was a little patronising. I also feel a little frustrated to have waited 17wks for an appointment only to have to wait another 8 - 10wks. I guess they are hoping things will improve by then and they will have a better idea of where things are at due to his age. I thought that was the point of today appointment to be honest! Anyway, I have faith that all will be well.

Now -- belive it or not, Ripley -- we arrive at the half-way point on our journey to Christmas Season 2014 THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW!
(That's right -- it's that close.)


Our Wonderful Weather persists.
Dry and warm without the pending humidity.
Right now, we are at 69 degrees and will be chasing 90 by this afternoon.

Thanks Stacey, our appointment is over. We have another referral and then a follow up assessment in 8-10 weeks after which they will decide the next step. The specialist was a little patronising. I also feel a little frustrated to have waited 17wks for an appointment only to have to wait another 8 - 10wks. I guess they are hoping things will improve by then and they will have a better idea of where things are at due to his age. I thought that was the point of today appointment to be honest! Anyway, I have faith that all will be well.

Going to a Red Sox game next week---woohoo!

Monday the 19th is the last day of class, then finals the rest of the week. Finals can be skipped if your grades are high enough, and I think they'll both be able to skip all their finals.

I'm giving Jacob a week or so to get used to being out of school, then he's getting a job!

Congratulations to them both!

Heading out to the porch for awhile. Hopefully the storms hold off tonight!!!!!

Have me a cup of coffee ready and I will join you! I tried to sit out on my porch yesterday morning, 7 am, and it was already too hot! I came right back in! I am glad the weather has cooled off for the next few days but will go right back up! We will be hibernating real soon though!

Another long day in these parts, and work was the easy part of the day.

We had to drop off the rental car tonight, we had it over a month, with GM paying for the whole thing. The Saturn's recall is fixed but the car is pretty much on it's last legs and will never pass the Massachusetts Safety & emissions testing. So once again we are going through the motions of trying to get a new or pre-owned vehicle. Please cross your fingers and wish us luck, we are trying to drive a hard bargain to get the price we want, and GM is claiming they will bend over backwards to get us into a new car because of the trouble of the recall. Then we went to JP's baseball game, his team got their first win of the season, the boys were so happy because they won it in their last at bat.

Got home to watch the Bruins game, it would have been nice if the Bruins actually showed up to play, they were horrible tonight. Game 7 Wednesday night, and I have to work! Oh well.

I had a dream last night that I was looking at Christmas decorations in the neighborhood. I then decided to camp out in someone's yard and set up a cot right in the middle of their decorations to sleep there for the night! I had twinkling lights, Santa Claus and other animated yard decor all around where I was sleeping. Ha ha!!!

If I really did that I might end up with a police officer shining a flashlight in my face. :lol:

I had a dream last night that I was looking at Christmas decorations in the neighborhood. Just being inside Fenway Park is good enough, that place is always amazing to look around.

I remember being 7 years old and seeing the Green Monster for the first time in person, I was in such awe.

We have a documentary about Fenway from the 1980s that Mr. taped on VHS back in the day. Someone in that documentary comments that at Fenway, colors seem brighter and everything seems to be in sharp focus. It's true! I'm fonder of that 102-year-old ballpark that I ever would be of a brand-new super-stadium. I like to just ponder on the history of the place while I'm there---not just the famous players who played there, but the generations of fans who cheered and booed there, from the Royal Rooters right up to today.

Another thing about Southfork Ranch, Festive Spirit, it's not even in Dallas, it's in Parker, Texas just right outside of Dallas. That kind of land doesn't exist in the city of Dallas! Even nearby Southfork Ranch are shopping centers but there is a little more land out there compared to Dallas.

Wow thanks , I never knew that! It really must be something living so close to all these different sights. That's so exciting that your son in law was working so close to the Dallas set. I actually watch the new Dallas, it's a guilty pleasure. I won't be put of by the heat when I get a chance to visit , I'm live in a cold dreary climate so it will be a welcome change for me !!!! LOL!

I hope you can get what you want without too much haggling. They probably are willing to work with you to build a loyalty to the GM brand in spite of the recall hassles. Wishing you luck in your negotiations.

I do not have to be at work until 1:30 today and then only in for 4 hours. So this morning we are dropping off some things at the thrift store and then doing some nosing around to see if we can find anything interesting.
