Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
I am exhausted today, I was up most of the night with Molly. I'm not sure what was wrong with her. She was panting throughout the night, she kept getting up for water and to go outside. The room wasn't hot, we had the air conditioner running and I also had a little fan blowing on her. She's due for a vet appointment so I'm going to call when they open and see if I can get her in today. Other than that it will be a typical day for me. I need to work on some chores and catch up with the laundry, I didn't get much done yesterday since I had the barbecue. I also need to run to the supermarket, I have a list of things that we need. I am so sick of that place, lol. If I'm lucky I would like to squeeze a nap in but I'm not sure if that will happen.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've never been so happy to come back to work. Nancy has been working me like a dog! After I trimmed all the shrubs Saturday afternoon, yesterday morning I rented a pressure washer...and ran it for 10 hours straight. I washed the house, the walk up to the house, the carport floor, the shop building, the pool deck, and the golf cart! I still groan every time I stand up from my desk. I ain't used to working that hard!

And she says she's not finished with me yet. Yikes!

you are so blessed to have this amazing woman in your life making sure you stay in line and keep your home pristine !

It has been hot and humid here too so the weather could have something to do with Molly not feeling well. It also looks like she has some kind of skin condition starting, the veterinarian thinks she has dermatitis. I started her on an antibiotic and they also sent me home with a medicated shampoo. Maybe she feels uncomfortable from that, I don't know. Hopefully the antibiotic and shampoo will do the trick.
I'm so sorry to hear Harlowe was sick. I'm praying she feels better today and that you both have a good night. We are sending big hugs back your way xoxo

Instead, I'll consider the weather.

Again, we had moderate temps and no rain for our coastal visit.

Got most of the work completed for the rental season but will take one more trip back a week from Friday.

For now, we are at 69 degrees here in central NC with a pretty fair chance at some rain today and for the following two.





Thanks again to our shining 'Star for an impromptu extention of countdown duties!

Whats new?!!? WELL, I Got accepted into University for September for the Health Care assistant Program (Registered care aide, long term care aide.. the list goes on and on!) ! After much consideration of what I should do with my life... I finally applied in February To Vancouver Island University...and had to write up a "Personal Profile" on why I should be chosen for the program etc, then was invited to an Interview with one of the program instructors, where I had to fill out a questionnaire about what made me interested in that program and field of work, and also gave various situations that I could potentially come across in the health field and how I would deal with them. Then about 3 weeks later I got my acceptance letter Was terribly nervous during the interview and thought I spoke too fast and was jittery but apparently I did alright!!!
I am hoping to Work within Vancouver Island Health Authorities after graduation, in the hospital (VIHA is a HUGE organization that deals with various types of health field stuff, from Health inspectors-Care facilities..etc, If you're in the Health field in British Columbia, it's good to get on with them because they offer benefits, higher pay, etc etc)! Also considering getting a Bachelor of Science in Nursing within the next couple years.. Who knew I'd be into nursing! haha!!!

Other than that, I honestly don't have too much new with myself. OH wait, next week I am chopping all my hair off, have had hair down to my lower back for at least 6 years now, time for a change.. Also thinking of dying my hair a Dark, wine red...Versus the Jet black I have (...yes I am dreading the "stripping" process, WHY oh WHY did I have to go black)

My Dearest Love, Ryan, is doing swell also! Still on the job hunt.. Hoping he finds work soon!!! But until then, I enjoy him being my sweet little housewife :lol:

Congratulations on being accepted into the University ~ you'll be a great health care worker!!! I'm glad you and Ryan are doing well ~ will keep both of you in my prayers!

I'm doing well ~ busy with work and now that it has finally warmed up, gardening. I've also started making my Christmas gifts for this year ~ its keeping me out of trouble. :wink:

I had Fri off as well so it was nice to have that extra day. Back to work today and here in CT it is a nice 80 degrees for now anyway tommorrow is supposed to be 65.

Pretty quiet week planned...my daughter has softball games today, tomororw and Thursday. We are supposed to get storms tonight so I would not mind if one was canceled tonight.

my week will be quiet too, I have the next two days off. Going apartment hunting with my daughter. And of course the ever popular house work to be done!

Good afternoon friends!
I'm waiting for city crews to finish putting in some new sewer pipes on my street.
I literally can't get out my driveway!
We had a nice time yesterday with kids and grandkids and a simple barbecue supper.
I was happy we finally got some gardening done too with the weird weather we've had.
