she got the camera and of course had to try it out so we spent some time in the park. Very nice camera that is going to take her awhile to learn and get used to. They guy she bought it from forgot to give her the charger so she has to go back for that yet. She is happy, it is only 2 years old and in very good condition.

I'm going to try and turn in a little bit early tonight. We have to be on the road by 4:00am the latest to head upstate. None of us are looking forward to getting out of bed at 3:00am but it has to be done. Orientation starts at 8:30 and I don't want my daughter to be late. I have total anxiety about leaving the dogs but my oldest has off from work and will be here most of the day to take care of the animals, so they should be fine. I probably won't be able to check back in here until tomorrow night. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their evening and has a Happy Friday.

Happy Thursday morning. I've been away a long time. Time is going by too quickly. Can't believe the wife and I have been married 32 years today.

It has been a year of 'last time'. Our only child (Ethan) is finishing up his senior year of high school. His baseball career is now over. Senior day at our last home game was tough. He has played organized baseball since he was 5. We attended our final high school academic and sports banquets this week. The Baccalaureate service for seniors is at our church on June 4. He graduates high school June 6 and will give the closing prayer at graduation. I'm sure I will lose my manhood that day.


Move-in day at Gardner Webb University is August 15. We will begin a new chapter in our lives. Not sure I'm ready for it.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I've never been so happy to come back to work. Nancy has been working me like a dog! After I trimmed all the shrubs Saturday afternoon, yesterday morning I rented a pressure washer...and ran it for 10 hours straight. I washed the house, the walk up to the house, the carport floor, the shop building, the pool deck, and the golf cart! I still groan every time I stand up from my desk. I ain't used to working that hard!
And she says she's not finished with me yet. Yikes!

Long, very long night at work, I am so done there. I need to leave there, the sooner the better. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers to give me strength to find something new. I catch the 3rd degree about following a state law to make sure no one gets in trouble, and I get in trouble for doing the correct thing. That truly is the last straw. I am so sorry for ranting, but I am so ticked tonight.

Good day Christmas buddies! I have been swamped with work over here and it's been months since I have been here. I hope everyone is doing good and having a great summer so far I know it's just begun(unofficially)! I am terribly homesick these days too, I have just 3 months and a few weeks until I return stateside, Brandi is home alone with the boys and hanging in there. Thank goodness her mom came the whole month of April to help her out and she will be coming back the whole month of August because Brandi is going back to teaching in the fall and then I will come home in Sept and work the evening shifts so I can keep the boys during the day..that will save so much$$$ daycare is outrageous! I miss everyone here and I know I have a lot of new people tomeet when I get settled back home!!! Take care buddies!

I agree about animals being so smart! When I am home and the birds suddenly get quiet, I know to check the sky and check the weather radio for warnings.

Mouse would have been 18 today so it hasn't been the happiest of days for me. I really miss her!

I went to the dentist today to have an impression done for my upper teeth. Turns out I Clench my Teeth together during the night.... so now I need to wear a mouth guard while sleeping! Oooopsies.. but explains the headaches in the morning!

One Quick Question,I feel kinda silly asking but I haven't seen seawaters on here? Where has that wonderful woman gone??

I made it through the day and my day off is here!!! It is well needed, because my foot is killing me tonight. I won't do much but hopefully rest tomorrow to get this thing to calm down. The last thing I need is to miss work, (hehe, I wouldn't miss it) due to my foot.

I am listening to some music before retiring for the evening. I did see the New York Rangers made it into the Stanley Cup Final tonight, so congrats to them and their fans, I hate New York teams so I will be cheering for whomever comes from the Western Conference. cheesy

She doesn't have a lot of time to come here, her home is being renovated and she is still dealing with pain and tiredness from her treatments last year. She still pops in when she has time.
