Days to Christmas Day: 202



Day after tomorrow -- the 200-day Christmas Day Milestone.

Creeping right along, we are!

Closer. Ever closer.





A spot of rain yesterday but nothing significant.

The heat and humidity are inching upward, but it's not bad yet.

(More to come, of course!)

We are at 71 degrees here right now.





Our own Christmas STAR has agreed again to step to the plate to pinch-hit for the count tomorrow and Sunday.

What a relief. No count lapse!

(That would be bad luck, you know.)

I only get half a weekend, though ... there's a major presentation on Monday, so I'll be spending Sunday afternoon and evening at the office. Booo! But maybe I can get a day or part of a day off another time.



We're supposed to finally get warm, sunny weather this weekend. Looking forward to that!

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's supposed to be a beautiful day here with a high in the upper 70's and mostly sunny. Unforuantely I won't be able to enjoy it because they are mowing the grass here at the apartments. So I'm locked up inside now that we are back from mom's doctor's appointment. Mom's level was back in the safe range this morning. In fact she dropped 2 whole points to which the nurse said "No freaking way" and then redid the test. LOL!!!! It came back the same the second time around though. So while she is in the safe range, she is lower than they want her. So they put her right back on the high dose that she was on. Then we go back wednesday for them to check it again. Not much planned for me the rest of today. Just trying to get caught up on some stuff around the apartment and I might run to the grocery store later tonight. I haven't decided yet. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

I live at recitals these days, but I'm getting used to it. I feel like one of those baseball dads, though, wanting to yell at the "ump" for not dancing my daughter enough! :grin:

Glad the computer is acting better!

That's funny! I dare you!! I wouldn't want to mess with my nieces dance instructor! (she was my dance instructor YEARS ago... lol)

She actually kept it moving this year! Only 2 3/4 hours this time! And most of the dances were more upbeat so time went pretty fast! Ashlyn danced in 2 dances this year too - 1 before intermission & 1 after! Ashlyn says this is her last year. "I am not doing it next year! I have done it 5 years & I still don't like it!" Can't say she didn't try! :smile:

Good afternoon, MMC!

It is a gorgeous day here in mid Michigan. There are clouds of pine pollen and cotton from the cottonwood trees flying in the breeze. When I first woke up I thought there was a fire somewhere that is how thick the pollen clouds were. The good thing is that it isn't blowing in the house! Tonight it is going down to the upper 40s ~ love it!

I have been working on research and tagging items for the store and still have a pile of work to do so I had best get going or I will be up until 3:30 am again today.

Last weekend at the lake it looked like it has snowed with all the cotton laying on the ground. Especially on the bike path - there were spots it was white all the way across the path! No wonder everyone has allergies so bad right now!
