It seems like our Norwegian winter is in USA..
We have no winter here, for the first time ever!!
But they say it will be colder..
Our first Christmas and winter with no snow or no cold temperatures..
Even flowers starts blooming!!

Walking my son to school this morning, I was reminded of late September when the seasons were only just changing and we were all excited about the arrival of Fall.
I always look forward to the turn of the seasons. Each one brings rejuvenation and a variety of things to look forward to.

The weather here continues to be unusual. Severe storms and flooding in some parts. However, mild weather here these days which makes feel like something is brewing! *goosebumps*

I hope that things are getting better for all of you experiencing severe weather. Atleast we can all escape to the warmth of the Pines tonight!! I look forward to sitting by the roaring fire and sipping on one of Carl's blends..........

Another day of schools closed and buses cancelled:

School Bus Cancellations
The Christmas holiday refuses to end for local students.
Each and every school in both the Avon Maitland District School Board and the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board is closed again today.
In addition, all Board buildings, including the Public Education Centre in Seaforth and Catholic Education Centre in Dublin are closed.
The Stratford & District Christian School is closed.
The Stratford Middle Years School is closed.
Sunshine Montessori School is closed.

most roads in area are still closed because of so much blowing snow.

So another day of staying inside trying to keep warm.
I need more candy canes for my hot chocolate!

School was canceled here, too, due to the wind chill advisory. That was lifted at 9 so all should be back to normal by tomorrow. Stay safe!

On my way to work yesterday morning at 5am i saw a house with it's Christmas:???: lights still on. my wife would beat me if done that n believe i would do that very cool to see. hope everyone has a great Wednesday n this cold weather here in georgia sucks as us southerners aren't use to it. already planning our yearly panama city beach trip n June. looking forward to the warm weather MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone

Well Schools are canceled again tomorrow. Talk about an extended Christmas Vacation!!! They really should just go ahead and cancel for friday too and start fresh next week when the snow should be gone after a couple of days in the 50's and rain most of the weekend.

I just got in from the supermarket a little while ago. I forgot to bring my gloves and boy was that painful! I am warming up with a cup of coffee right now but I do need to get moving soon, I have some chores to do. My youngest is home from school, she wasn't feeling well. She drove all the way there and then turned around and came back home. I told her to go back to bed, I'll see how she feels when she wakes up. I'm hoping I don't end up in the doctors office this afternoon. We have been there way too much lately!

Good afternoon all. This is my first post on the new countdown. The countdown will probably not be as fun for me this year. Our son graduates high school in June and will go off to college in August so I will be wishing time passes slowly.

Our family had a good Christmas but it was not the same without mom. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts during this time.

I have enjoyed the cold weather the last few days. Wish we would have gotten more snow but I will take our 5 inches. It was -6 when I left for work yesterday and 8 today. Sorry to say it will be in the low 50s by this weekend. Hopefully we have some more snow and cold weather before this winter is over.

Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes for my daughter with her wrist.

They ended up having to put her in a cast because they think she fractured her growth plate. She has to keep it on for 2 weeks then they will re-xray and if it shows that it is healing they know it is def the growth plate is fractured. They will cast her again for another 3 weeks.

At least it is a waterproof cast and she picked neon green.

It has been so cold her in CT..only around 18 today but will warm up to high 40's by the weekend. Crazy Weather!!

Just a quick word here but I had asked for prayer and/or good vibes sent my way for my health. I am happy to say I am in good shape! It was a cyst that we were concerned about and it is benign!

I never want to be an alarmist or pessimistic and was going to wait for prayers IF I got bad news but figured that is a little too late to be asking for prayers. I needed them ahead of time in hopes it all turned out good! It is all good so thank you for prayers and good thoughts sent my way!

I just saw on the AccuWeather website that the Northern Lights are supposed to be visible in parts of North America tonight ... possibly as far south as where I am! Click on the thumbnail for a map.

(How do you get the thumbnail image to show full size in your post? I think I've seen that done ...)

Good afternoon, MMC!

Busy evening ahead of me as I have lots of projects I need to finish. For some reason it seems colder to me today than it did yesterday and it is far warmer out - I have the heat turned up and am considering putting on an extra sweater. A hot cup of tea sounds good. If I have the time later tonight I am going to pick up watching where I left off on Downton Abbey and I am going to finish the scarf I have been knitting for the past few weeks. I need to start a new craft project!

Talking about the weather with you yesterday, I'm at the other end of the spectrum. We're slated for 43C/109F next Monday. I would take the day off work and spend it with bubs in the pool but I've only just gone back. Would be nice though. We can dream can't we? Probably go in when I get home though. :-D
