Thank you for the nice welcome back! It's always great to see that people remember me.

Well I have been fine. Some changes at my job, which make my life much easier. And in january I got a great wage increase and a permanent position at my workplace. Theefore I'm very happy. But there where some health issues in my family, some of them serious. I do hope that the second half of the year will be better.

I'm happy to hear things are going so well for you at work, that's great news!

Good morning friends. I'm trying g to lose 30 pounds so I've been working out again. It was hurt in a treadmill but I did the 5k this morning in under 40 minutes so I'm excited!

Now if you need me I'm going to be at the first ER I can find. Should you need to get in touch just call around to the local Oklahoma City hospitals until you find me.

I have my DVR set for Angels Sing, Hallmark movie starring Harry Connick Jr. I am looking forward to that one! Has anyone seen and is it good?

Since I did not have Hallmark last year all these movies from 2013 are new to me!

I was on earlier today, then it booted me off the site and couldn't get on again. I took a nap, ran to the mall to pick up my wife's engagement ring that was being repaired, and went to Little Caesar's for dinner. It was a HOT one here today, but I was in the comfort of the AC all day. We are in a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until midnight, just hoping that the storms will miss us.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high near 80 degree's. I don't have much planned for today. Just going to be working around the apartment. My sister and niece's just took off from Seattle here a bout an hour ago and will be home this afternoon. So I will be waiting to hear from them too before heading out to the Pines tonight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fortunately, our A/C was repaired. (The guy doing the renovation work had cut the power line to the thermostat.)
Should be another hot one today but easier to face knowing there is a cool place to retreat to!
We have begun today at a sultry 80 degrees here in the capital city.

We will hit the triple digits for the first time this weekend. Time to crank the Christmas music up as loud as it can go to cool things off. :lol:

I am surprised the triple digits have not come sooner. We have been really lucky so far this year. I just hope this heat doesn't stick around too long but not too sure about that!

We have a cold front here for three days now. Weather forecast says it will get warmer tomorrow, but I don't trust them. It's rainy and looks like fall. While I love fall I want to have a real summer first!



Unfortunately we don't have Christmas in July here in my country. But I remember how it looks like from my holiday trip to the united states. Wish you one too!

Adrian isn't a Christmas nut like us, but he has learned to like it much more in the 12 1/2 years we've been together! In fact, he plays it off, but is so excited to decorate the outside with lights each year, and hits all of the stores to check out what's new each season. And then he'll go out shopping the clearance on Dec. 26th! It's "for me" of course!

That's great! Eventually he will be a "year round" person like us! :wink:

I remember several years before I joined here I was on another site that had multiple subjects to discuss on it, not just Christmas, they had everything. I did join in on a Christmas thread and my jaw just dropped when this one lady said her husband does not allow her to watch Christmas movies until after Thanksgiving. He even hid all the Christmas DVD's in the basement and she was not ALLOWED to get into them. What???!!! Allowed??? She seemed to think this was just fine and would mention how she wanted to watch a Christmas movie in September and would ask for permission to watch one but he would say "no". I mean, come on! I can understand that he does not want to watch them or maybe ask her can she watch them when he is not around so he doesn't have to see or hear it but even if he was gone for the day at work she could not have access to them, ever! They were her movies and she didn't even know where he hid them.

No one would be ALLOWED to hide my Christmas movies!!! I would have to hit them with a candy cane! :lol:

Good morning!
It's going to be a little bit cooler today, sunny with temperatures in the lower 80's.
I'm heading out soon to pick up a few things at the supermarket. Back home afterwards to start my daily chores. The girls will all be home today, my two oldest both have off from work and my youngest will be coming home from the Hamptons so I think I'll see if they want to go out to lunch. Not too much else going on.

Oklahoma hasn't hit them yet either which is rare,

I know you're a few hours south of me so this may not apply to you but I hope it does: long range forecast for Oklahoma released yesterday stated when this mini-heat wave ends next week we will most likely see a cooler than average summer and a cold, wet winter!

That's what worries me - if we have cooler temps in the summer - what is winter going to bring?? EEK!!! I don't want to do another winter like we had last year! :cold:

Good for you Ryan!!! I need to get back into walking again too. The month of June, I was a slacker!! Last night I push mowed the lawn, then pulled & pulled & pulled & pulled & pulled more weeds from the garden. (they were WAY out of control) I could hardly get out of my car when I got home! :lol: Good luck! Have a great day!

Good morning snowflake! I looked last night & we DO get HMC! Problem is we only get it on our main tv & my hubby was watching some goofy movie on there last night when I got home! And it was after 10 so the Hallmark was back to The Middle - which was a Valentines Day special! Ah well - at least now I know about HMC!

Exactly! I love football but I don't get much into hockey. Wayne likes hockey and there is NO WAY I would tell him he is not ALLOWED to watch it. If it makes him happy, it makes me happy! =)
