Yes, pile ups all over the state. And 10 semi's on I-94 crashed/Jack knifed. They had to close westbound right near us
That's what happens when they don't send out the plows. So sad.
I didn't sleep well last night because they come @ 9:30, and were in our area half the night. Snowblowers, shovels, etc.
Glad they finally came, but ridiculous that they keep people up half the night. Backing up, beeping, etc.

Virginia - The assessment went well, thank you. He has been referred to a speech therapist. How old is your first?
I hope you all had a better night than me. I could not sleep. I kept worrying about my mum and brother. I am fearful that it will happen again and paranoid they try to break in next time. I hope it was just random juvenile delinquents and an isolated incident. I have been so homesick and constantly miss my family. This just makes it harder. Thanks again for being there, I sure do appreciate having you all to talk to.
Thanks for the well wishes regarding Isaac's appointment. It went well but he has been referred to a speech therapist. I am not worried though, I think it is only a matter of time he starts talking. I will be working with him at home until we see the therapist as the referral can take awhile.
I have a few errands to do today but I don't feel like it so I will leave it for tomorrow I think.

Yup, you sure are right about that one.... It seems like every time I turn around, there's ice, snow, sleet, freezing rain and oh get this one, this morning, it was freezing fog...I kid you not! It was foggy, and the temperature of the roads where I live were just at that point where it made black ice. The salt trucks were already out and about at 5:00am and thankfully, they already hit the back roads where I live. My driveway was a sheet of ice though.
I got the appraisal for the accident yesterday; 3,000.00 dollars!!!! ouch. There's not much I can do about it either, the truck has to get fixed, I'm in the process of trying to get them to go with after market parts in lieu of Ford parts, in order to try to reduce the costs somewhat...We'll see what happens!

Good Morning, Friends of the Holidays!
Well, believe it or not, the day after tomorrow will see us to our first Milestone of 2014, the 300-day Season window, to be succeeded immediately by the start of a 200's level count sequence.
(Can the 100's really be that far behind?)
Days to the Season: 302
Days to Christmas Day: 344
It was continued cool yesterday but really not bad for January. Dry too after a rainy morning.
Today should be nice.
We stand just under 36 degrees here at this hour.

And you may wish to stop in at the 'Pines this evening. Carl has a fund raiser under way but suspiciously, he hasn't said what funds are being raised for.
Anyway it's being called "I'd walk a mile with a camel".
(Well, I don't know about you but my curiosity has been raised, even though it may just be a scam to raise money for one of Carl's coffee experiments.)

My computer at home (I mean in Lithuania) operates incredibly slowly (it needs to be fixed) and it takes me ages to use Internet or post in forums and, well, I am not patient that much to wait for half an hour to get my browser opened and my post posted. ^^ Anyway, I am now back in Scotland and back to my laptop. ^^
Home was nice. I managed to see some of my friends, my cousins and spend some time with family. :] I have started new semester at the uni today so I am back on track!
I hope that everyone is well and doing fine. I hope that this year will be much better and more successful than previous year for everyone of you.

Hey Victoria, I've been wondering where you were. I am so happy to hear you had a good time back home with family and friends. I hope you are settling back into things now at UNI. Best wishes for the new year to you to.
Christmasstar, that is great to have a future chef in the family!!! The college that my daughter teaches at has a Culinary school there. The teachers and their family get to go and be part of grading their cooking by eating the food they make. I got to go with her one time and get a free gourmet meal and we grade it. It's yummy and fun!

Where'd my tree go?!!!
This is where my tree was standing for the last 47 days.
Looks so empty in here without it.
Santa is there for a little while, I can't remember what we had on top of the electric fireplace before Christmas.
At least you have a beautiful family to look at when the tree is gone!
I want to go too! I am the frugal queen and will bring along my ruler to slap hands when you touch things that cost too much!
