Christmas Countdown - 2014

Wow I am amazed at the snowfall in some areas of the US! Stay warm and safe everyone.

I have a few things to catch up with today and expecting about 4 deliveries. I also want to start opening the branches of the Christmas tree ready for tomorrow. As it is a new tree it is all compact so if I start today it should be less hassle tomorrow.

Things are a little challenging these days and like a couple of you, my spirit has slumped a little. Anyway I remind myself that this to shall pass :)

Thank you, I am hoping once it is up with the rest of the decorations it should add some cheer to the house!!!

Good Morning MMC !

-16c(3f) with a blowing snow advisory, school buses cancelled, some roads closed......but the ski hills are opening early this year !!

Off to work again, hoping it is not to slow with all this nasty weather going on.

It was a very surprising fast shift at work today. The turkey special orders all went out without a problem. I got a nice phone call from one of the people that gave me one of the orders, thanking me for working with them. They delivered the turkeys to some of the poorest people in the town, and seeing their faces was something amazing, and they just wanted me to know it would have never happened without me and my team. It made me feel very good and proud that I helped.
Just a few more days of turkey madness, it is exhausting me.

:treeguy: Perhaps you can take a page from my merry book.

My imaginary friend from childhood, Pretend Heather as she is known, leaves gifts for me under the tree from time to time because she knows how jolly I would be receiving it and others likely wouldn't buy it for me. It's good to have a friend like that around this time of year - takes the guilt right out of it.

Pretend Heather will be giving me a Rudolph ornie this year - not sure which one, but it must include Sam, the snowman

:rudolph: When I travel, I pack a pillow case from home - clean from the linen closet, but I find my eyes get dry and sore and my skin gets blotchy a bit too so I think I have a mild reaction to the starch they use in the laundry. If I'm staying more than one night, I let them know I want my sheets and towels washed without starch.

Even with my own pillow case, my eyes are screaming and my skin is itchy.

:)) All packed up and ready to head down for breakfast a workshop and head home to hear what other forgotten tunes are waiting to play on that old thumb drive of mine.



It's breakfast time - coffee, tea - I don't know - but I want something warm - it's freezing in this room.

Please remind me the next time I say I have to head out of town for work to pack a sweater - I'm always hot so I don't think I'll get cold - then voila - COLD.
