Thank you all! I got home with him about 3 p.m. We won't really know until his follow-up tomorrow how extensive the surgery was, but it didn't take quite as long as we were told to expect, so I hope that means it wasn't terribly severe. Happily, they didn't inject a gas bubble, which complicates the recovery. He'll have to use three different eyedrops a few times a day for a couple months while it heals. I'm hoping he'll be cleared to work again soon---he was itching to start work for the temp agency when this hit. Fingers crossed and prayers for a good recovery. (And for my nerves, too, which are pretty shot after all that has gone on in the past few weeks.)

After I got Mr. home, I decided it would be a good time to go to the local garden center and wander through the Christmas displays, gifts, and decorations. (Mr. was okay enough to leave alone.) I swore I wasn't going to spend money on myself, but I fell in love with a ceramic Santa with a sack in which you can put candy canes or other treats. I'd like to fill it with candy canes and put it on my desk at work this season. (Not sure where, because I also need space for my little Christmas tree!)

Glad to hear the surgery didn't take as long as anticipated. I hope he has good and quick recovery.
I am glad you found a little something Christmassy, that Santa sounds cute.

Happy got a bag of Halloween candy while we were gone tonight!

On that note, I'm off to bed. Goodnight everyone.

Good evening,

It was a very surprising fast shift at work today. The turkey special orders all went out without a problem. I got a nice phone call from one of the people that gave me one of the orders, thanking me for working with them. They delivered the turkeys to some of the poorest people in the town, and seeing their faces was something amazing, and they just wanted me to know it would have never happened without me and my team. It made me feel very good and proud that I helped.
Just a few more days of turkey madness, it is exhausting me.

I hope you all had a great day.

Good night, everyone.

Good night, everyone.

Just reading this made me smile. It's such a kind thing to be involved in. Hang in there till the madness ends.

Good morning, friends~

Thank you again for the thoughts & prayers for Harlowe. I posted in the prayer requests thread, but the tests showed that she has some bad bacteria, so we have to pick up a few prescriptions for her today. Hopefully, this will get her well again [emoji175]
I appreciate your kindness!
I am so relieved.

Happy Friday Eve!!

Wishing you a blessed day~

I was just skimming the posts on here to see if there was an update on Harlowe. Sorry to hear about the bacteria. However , now that they have pinpointed what is wrong, they can now target and treat appropriately and she should make a vast improvement. I am sure you are a little relieved about that. Praying for her quick recovery and big hugs to you for all you are coping with at the moment. Bless you!

Yes, I am glad that we could pinpoint the issue right away. Hopefully the antibiotics will work quickly, and get her relief soon.

Thanks, Sam [emoji171]

Merry Thursday!

Wow I am amazed at the snowfall in some areas of the US! Stay warm and safe everyone.

I have a few things to catch up with today and expecting about 4 deliveries from my recent shopping online. I also want to start opening the branches of the Christmas tree ready for tomorrow. As it is a new tree it is all compact so if I start today it should be less hassle tomorrow.

Things are a little challenging these days and like a couple of you, my spirit has slumped a little. Anyway I remind myself that this to shall pass :)

Have a magical day!
