Back from the grocery store. Tonight was definitely the night to go. The parking lot was empty and there was no one in line in front of me when I went to check out. They are still out of my french fries though 3 weeks after they were on sale. It's a good thing my rain check doesn't have a exp. date.

Tonight we are having stitch 'n *itch at our house, so the girls are coming over! Jim will have to find something to do!! :lol: I'm hoping to get a lot done on the blanket for Charlie (my nieces new puppy)! I'm about 1/2 done & I would like to finish before Sunday! EEK!

Superbowl plans - we are going to the Legion in our town to watch. I'm making a Creamy Avocado Dip & these: (using the brown sugar instead of parmesan.) My sister made these & they were yummy!!! They are definately something I would have to make to bring somewhere b/c they would be trouble in my house!!!!!! :smile:

The looting has now started in the fire affected towns too. What is happening to us that we're so desperate to do this?

I am sorry to hear that.

Hours after the tornado came through our town in 2011, their was rampant looting going on in the houses that were affected by the tornado. It is so awful people do that when another human is at such a low emotional point.

I'm in better shape today, except I got a headache about an hour ago. I think I have it under control, though. I emailed my supervisor that I'll be back to work tomorrow. Watching "The Sting" this afternoon.

Well my niece is gone and now I have to get some stuff done around here. I'm also trying to decide if I want to go to the grocery tonight. They are calling for snow turning to sleet, turning to rain, turning back to sleet, turning back to snow tomorrow through sunday. Then a major snow storm next tuesday into wednesday with estimates showing anywhere from 15 inches to 20 inches. So I know the stores are going to be crazy this weekend and I don't want to deal with that. I hope everyone is having a good day!!!!

I've seen some pictures today that Carl took of the festivities last night: it's best you don't remember! Here's a tip for you thought...don't ever run for any kind if office. If these pics were leaked it would be the end of your career!

We don't follow football, so we'll have an ordinary Sunday. Sometimes on Super Bowl Sunday we'll watch a movie with football in it, or pull out some DVDs of historic Red Sox games. When we do that, we'll often broil hot dogs and heat up some baked beans and have a baseball afternoon. I like to check in on the Puppy Bowl. This year I want to catch some of the Kitten Bowl on the Hallmark Channel too.

That still sounds very fun! It's very neat to hear how ever one spends their days.

Good Thursday afternoon everyone! It's 34F here with light snow/fog just an awful day to be out driving home from work in 30 min!!! But other than that I love the snow ya know! We are getting our replenishment snow from the warm week where my grass in the backyard was showing through for the first time since late November. We are suppose to get around 10 to 15 inches through sunday night. I don't know if we will get that much but it is coming down! Other than that my decorations are finally down and I am trying to adjust to post Christmas still in late Jan! This year has been hard since the holidays were pretty good this year. I don't really follow Pro football so I don't really care too much about the super bowl but we will watch it at party I was invited too at work. I am counting down to college ball in the fall! I have a long way to go don't I!
I hope everyone is doing good I am going back and reading yalls posts a few days back,and it seems everyone is having bad weather too and the Flu bug is really going around! Hope everyone feels better soon talk to yall when I get home from work!

It's just the 32oz bags of Kroger brand crinkle cut. They had them on sell for 10 for $10 the other week and I'm guessing that a lot of people got rain checks.

Thanks! Our Legion here is really nice - and close to home. It's "homey" ~ it's all carpeted & has a fireplace, 5 TV's. Very cozy!

Wow - you're legion does sound really nice! We of course do have them here too, but I've never been in ours. DH and I actually belong to an private Italian club, but we maybe get to go once or twice a year! LOL They have really good food and drinks. I enjoy going, but would rather be home with my kids!
