I'm in the pool and it's raining but I'm determined to catch up on 30 pages of posts - I left my phone at work yesterday!!

Hey Virginia! Hope you enjoyed your evening ;)

Well of course I had to google this song this morning. I am listening to different versions on You tube now. I love music from this era and I am surprised I don't know this one.

Thankfully we live very far away from the River Thames or any coasts. I feel awful for the people. The water has claimed their homes and most have evacuated but a few are refusing to go , bless them.

Praying for them

Work again today, that's 5 days in a row, something I do not get often! I love it, wish I could do that every week
Hope you all have a great day and stay safe in your storms, what ever they bring your way.
For those with no storms, enjoy your tranquility.

********** HAPPY VALENTINES DAY **********

Good Morning, Weekend Eve Wonders and Valentines Victors!

And will wonders ever cease?
(Let's hope not.)

Wonder at this:
Days to the Season: 272
Days to Christmas Day: 314

OK, now!
About our NEXT Milestone.
(It's number 3 on our list, you know.)
And the count itself tells the tale.
Two weeks from today - the 300-Day Window to Christmas Day 2014 - then, a DOUBLE-200'S COUNT.
(Already?? Wow!)

Well, all told we got about 4 inches of snow.
Stayed around the house all day as most everything was closed.
Cold, too. Never got much above freezing on our thermometer and the sun never appeared.
Today has begun at 31 degrees and should be somewhat warmer and brighter.

Have a Fabulous Friday, Friends!
And may the force of the Season be with you.

Happy Valentines Day Star, hope you have a great day!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I saw this last year (maybe here?) and couldn't wait to post it this year. It's my buddy, Simon's Cat!

Good morning and happy valentines day to you all.

Not much going in here. The kids signed their cards to give to their classmates last night. My daughter was excited, my son couldn't care less. :)

Hope y'all have a great Friday.

Goodnight, Christmas Crazies!!!

And so we are!

Oh dear. I'm glad Mister made it home safely. I have been thinking about all of you having to drive in those conditions. I hope a good night's sleep will improve your spirits today and things are better. As for the weather, stay safe and keep courage......we will make it through to summer at some point!!

Oh, I'm looking forward to spring and summer! I feel better this morning--- even though everything is a slushy mess, I'm enjoying the sight of little snow flurries flying around outside my office window. They're still calling for a possible 6 inches of snow later tomorrow, but the good news is that it's a 3-day weekend for us (Monday is Presidents Day), and we don't have to go anywhere during the storm.

I'm still concerned, though, because the temps went above freezing, so we had rain on top of 9 inches of heavy snow. The rainwater can't run off because of the snow cover, and streets are wet and slushy. The temps are supposed to fall below freezing again this weekend, and it's going to be h#ll when that slush and water freeze. I hope they clear our street more thoroughly today before that happens. We're also reaching the point of "where do we put the snow?" The plows can't just push it to the side anymore, because there's too much there already! But I'm sure Made and others in the Midwest and eastern Canada are laughing at that, because they reached that point long ago!

Flooding is just an awful thing---there's no getting away from it, no way to really safeguard against it, and it's so relentless. The song captures that helplessness. I'm glad you're away from the river and other bodies of water that may flood, but you're right, you can't help but feel bad for those who are suffering the flooding.
