We went out last weekend...my wife's birthday is Saturday. We can never go out on her birthday because of all the valentines crowd. So we celebrated early. The kids and I will taker her out to lunch though on Saturday.

Man I hope you know what rye getting into at the Pines! If I need to come get you give me a call!

Good evening,

It was very busy at work tonight, but I am home so I can now forget about that place until Friday.

It is funny how I was talking about my older car this morning, I went to head to work and it is now dead. I had to call my wife and she came to pick me up, I dropped her and took the Equinox. We only live about 1/4 mile from where she works so we can survive on one car for a little while if the Saturn has really died. She tried to get it going when she got home, but there is no sign of life whatsoever. I will check the battery tomorrow or Friday, but the battery is barely a year old but with this freezing weather we have had I would not be surprised.
I am feeling yucky, I feel cold and cranky and I have had a pounding headache all day. It is about time to head to sleep, I hope I don't dream about the darn Saturn all night again. I wouldn't mind dreaming about the planet Saturn though. cheesy

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!!! We are off to a little bit warmer start today at 0 degree's and it looks like we may finally get above freezing today for the first time in 10 days!!!!!! WooHoo!!!! The three stooges never showed up yesterday so I'll be sitting around waiting on them again today. I also got a call from my sister at 6am saying my niece had been up all night coughing and that she was bringing her in for me to watch today. So I think it's pretty safe to say, I'm going to get absolutely nothing done today. Oh well. There's always tomorrow. Well if I don't have to shovel to much since we are going to get more snow tomorrow. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!

Thank you everyone for the prayers!!!

Chico got good/bad news. Good news - I got to bring him home and they brought the swelling down. The swelling was causing him not to be able to lay down and he was up for over 24 hours and exhausted. He is finally laying down now and asleep! The bad news is his heart has enlarged more but as long as he still has a little spunk in him and can eat we will just take it one day at a time. He does have a fantastic appetite and so alert! I am happy about that. Keep the prayers coming that he continues to feel well!

I am sorry that I haven't had time to read your daily post, I am just having a very busy day but wanted to let you all know what is going on.

I have been thinking about you. I will continue prayers for Chico.

Almost quitting time here. YAY!!!! It was fun hanging out here today!!!

Well my niece just left. Her cough still sounds horrible but she is acting like herself. Of course it didn't help that her mom forgot to bring in her cough syrup this morning so she hasn't had any since last night. Hopefully it won't be as bad tomorrow and she won't miss her Valentine's day party at school.

I hope her cough improves and she has a lovely time at her Valentines party.

(Whiner alert!)
Thank you, everyone! It's been a crummy day. Last time I worked from home there were no jobs. Today they were nonstop. I took a break to fix lunch---I HAD to do a grilled cheese in the waffle iron, after those posts this morning. While it was in, our friend/plow guy rang the doorbell, so I had to yank it out half-done while I chatted with him and paid. I didn't have time to make a new one, so I stuck it back in the waffle iron, and it turned out so-so. Then more wall-to-wall work until shortly after 5 p.m., when I went out in the rain to shovel a space in the driveway so Mr. can get in when he gets home. My car is snowed in tight. The snow is ankle-deep in the driveway AND the street. The unofficial total here is 9 inches, with a couple more expected tonight in the "backlash" of the storm. Mr. wanted to catch an earlier train home, but they told him to wait, they might have overtime work for him. I'm so wound up from the day I can't begin to unwind.

And they think we could have another 6"+ snowstorm this weekend. I'm ready to cry.

I know others are having a worse day than me. I'm just tired and cranky and whiny right now.

Oh dear. I'm glad Mister made it home safely. I have been thinking about all of you having to drive in those conditions. I hope a good night's sleep will improve your spirits today and things are better. As for the weather, stay safe and keep courage......we will make it through to summer at some point!!

There are chores to be done and a sad looking tabby wants me to do something, not sure what yet. I'm going to call it a night ~ talk to you tomorrow!

We ended up getting about 8 inches of snow today. It was absolutely beautiful this morning, the snowflakes were big and fluffy and looked like falling feathers. Then the winds picked up and we had sleet and freezing rain. We are expecting about 4 or 5 more inches of snow over night. The schools will be running on a two hour delay. At least we'll have some extra time to shovel and clean off the cars. I'm going to get ready for bed so I'll see you in the morning!

That's awful! An old song popped into my head: "River, Stay 'Way from My Door." I hope the Thames stays out of YOUR garden.

Well of course I had to google this song this morning. I am listening to different versions on You tube now. I love music from this era and I am surprised I don't know this one.

Thankfully we live very far away from the River Thames or any coasts. I feel awful for the people. The water has claimed their homes and most have evacuated but a few are refusing to go , bless them.
