Christmas Countdown - 2014

Good morning!
I'm just popping in quick to say hello. I need to get started on some chores, I'm already behind schedule. My husband was talking to me about the new kitchen this morning and I thought he was never going to leave for work, lol. He's so excited about it and making himself crazy going over every detail. I'm not so picky. I just want it to be finished. Then Ben knocked over a vase of flowers that I got for Valentines Day and made a huge mess. I tell everyone not to buy me flowers because of the cats but they do anyway. Bella was throwing up leaves yesterday.
Not too much going on today. My two oldest do not have classes so they will be home. We're going to grab something for lunch later and then run to the mall.

As much as I love the snow ... hearing about these warmer temps is making me jealous :wink: I am ready for some warmer temps so I can open the windows and air out the house.

Suppose to get another inch or 2 of snow tomorrow morning and then the temps hit the 50s towards the end of the week.

I agree, I love winter, but this has been such a brutally cold & snow filled one, that I'm looking forward to the other seasons too! Especially Spring & Fall!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

As the picture I posted earlier this morning indicates, we did indeed have a great afternoon of fishing yesterday. We only got two bass over the side of the boat, but we missed a few more, so it was an exciting afternoon. Jacob hooked a big one that jumped a foot out of the water...then tangled the line around an underwater stump. "You should have seen one that got away!" LOL

It's another beautiful day here, sunny and going to the low 70's. It's supposed to be 80° by Thursday!

Good afternoon everyone!! Finally making it back on here! Hope you all had a great weekend! It went fast as always!

I'm hoping to read more posts before quitting time this afternoon - they are saying 1-3" of snow tonight mixing with sleet & freezing rain. The roads are already turning ICKY due to the wind blowing the existing snow! It can snow all it wants tonight, if we skip the sleet & freezing rain!

We got a call last night from the breeder. We can pick up our puppy Saturday morning!! EXCITED! Now I'm getting nervous! Hopefully Buster will be ok with it. EEK! What did we get ourselves into?? Ha ha ha!

Tomorrow's 1 to 3 inches of snow is now supposed to be 3 to 6 inch, starting around midday and snowing at about 1 inch an hour during the afternoon. I'm worrying already about getting home from work safely. It's so much easier if I'm at home when it starts getting bad so I can stay here, as opposed to trying to get out of the office once it's started. I have all-season tires, and they're not always up to driving in a snowstorm.

It's just never-ending, isn't it? Sending prayers your way for safe travels.

Merry Monday! Weekends go by so fast, hope you all had a good one.

Long day yesterday at work. This morning I woke up feeling better that I have been. I am not a good sleeper usually but last night I managed a few consecutive hours and boy does it make a difference.

Last week they announced that there will be redundancies at my husbands work by 2015. Still early days but it's on my mind and we won't know anything definite for another few months ugh! I hate not knowing what is going to happen especially in these circumstances.

My eldest is off school this week on mid term break. It will be nice not to do the school run in this weather Ok well I better go entertain the children and catch up with house chores.

We are in the midst of another snow storm ~ 3-6" are likely to fall and there is much blowing and drifting. I checked the long range forecast and it looks like the major warm-up is no longer on its way although the temp should finally get above freezing for a day or two. That will be nice! In the meantime, I am going to enjoy the snow while it is still on the ground.

I have a lot of chores to do and supper to cook ~ so not motivated to do anything right now. That being the case, I had best get moving!

Be safe in whatever weather you are experiencing!

Good Monday morning all. Well the snow is mostly melted in town although we still have a good bit on the ground at home. We are able to drive up to the house now. We got almost a foot and enjoyed every bit of it. The college where I work was closed so we sit at home and eat snowcream.

Oddly enough high school baseball practice starts today with patches of snow in the outfield. He will be playing in some cool weather. Last season we had several games snowed out. This will be our son's senior season so it is a bitter/sweet time. Starting when he was in T-ball at 5 years old, our spring has been filled with baseball. Hard to believe this will be the last year.

I MISSED YOU GUYS!!!!!!

Wow... I have no idea how in the world I'm going to catch up. ROFL

Let's see spent the better part of January mobile with little reception. Got back to my house around 12:30am on Wednesday night (technically Thursday morning) on the 23rd. Got up at 6am with the intention of immediately dropping off my dogs at the boarding place and heading to the east coast of Florida with my son for his competiton. Ended up not leaving till nearly 8:30pm because the construction guy finishing the bathroom didn't finish on time and then broke the kitchen sink. No I don't know how. LOL

Competition that weekend, got back on Tuesday the 28th and shut myself up in my studio to engrave for 5 days straight for an exhibit in Oklahoma that had to be shipped on Monday the 3rd.

As soon as that was done I started writing new coding and rebuilding our company so we can dissolve from partner. Did that till Thursday the 6th, back out of town for more competitions, got back on Tuesday the 11th, more work on company and then left again this past Thursday the 13th for competition and just walked back in the door about 30 minutes ago.

I should hopefully have all the corporate transfers, rebuilds and legal things finished this week - I hope.

Another competition this weekend, but Noah is staying with friends in Palm City for that who also are on the same circuit. Very grateful for them and the friendship.

Competition again Feb 28 - March 3rd and I will be going to that one. Have some more shows coming up in April for glassware and a wedding, but hey I have the whole month of March for that! :-D

I'm super excited because I just learned about 2 hours ago that the company my husband works with managed to get him a week off in March so he'll get to fly home!!! They've never done this before. Normally he doesn't get to come home till mid summer.

Hope everyone is well and blessed and I'll be catching up as I go. I started working on some Christmas designs for a Christmas in July show this year. It's almost March!!! *bouncy happy* I can faintly hear the sleigh bells of Christmas 2014!!
