It's the best feeling in the world. Not only do you rescue a dog but they rescue you right back! Little Niles has really filled a lot of love in our hearts!

Both of our cats are rescues too. One of them we found in a gutter, matted hair, skin and bones and his breathing was wheezy. It took 3 vet visits to save him. Nearly 10 years later and he is just the sweetest ever! Here is Charlie sleeping in our Christmas village! You could never tell that he almost died. Healthy happy guy!

.

He is gorgeous!!!

All 5 of our cats were rescues also. Merlin was found on the side of the road as a kitten, someone else adopted him, but couldn't keep him so we did.
The other four were found as 3 week old kittens in our back yard, given birth to by a feral cat.
They are all such loves.

Happy Sunday morning! We did some heavy-duty spring cleaning yesterday and this morning. I'm tired and sore---just can't scrub like I used to. We're picking up a friend later for lunch, then to the DQ for dessert, then back here for gabbing and movies. I hope I have the energy!

Spring continues to shy away. We're going down into single digits tonight. The high tomorrow is predicted to be only a degree or two above the all-time record of 26F. And a storm is on the way for Tuesday night and Wednesday, but it's too early to tell whether it will be a few inches or a blizzard. Winter just won't move over to give spring a chance.

The latest looks like you are in the 3-6inch range. east-southeast of us looks like it is going to get pummelled, in Rachron's area. We are in the 1-3 inch range out in the western part of the state.

Of course this is New England, it could change by the second. cheesy

Bentley and Bella were both found outside as well. I think about it often, how lucky they.
I wish they could all be rescued.

Thanks for the update. I'll be keeping an eye on Boston.com's weather blog tomorrow, if it isn't too busy.

A very nice day today. We hadn't seen our friend since last October, he's such a busy guy and his family lives in Maryland. He's dealing with upheavals in his work situation and his apartment just now. I hope things settle out for him soon. He so deserves to have things work out in his favor.

Time to kick back and relax a little.

Your photos are Blossoms-thread quality, Brent!

Our local news isn't giving us much info on that storm. I hope they will at least give us a hint by tomorrow.
Sending up prayers for your friend and his family, I hope everything works out!

Hi everyone!

I've missed you all. I had a permanent teaching position for about three weeks. Then, their regular teacher returned from maternity leave. I've also only had two days off - not including March/Spring break - since the beginning of February. I'm not minding it at all. Hopefully the money starts coming in soon and my bank account can get out of the red figures!

A few new things... Kim and I will be moving into our own place in about three weeks. We take over a lease on April 1st, but we aren't able to fully move all our stuff until the second weekend of April, unfortunately. We have some packing ahead of us! In terms of where we're moving, it's only two blocks down and about five blocks over. It's actually much closer to where my most of my friends live, despite the fact that they're only about a 8-15 minute walk away right now!

I'll do my best to come around more from now on. I am still supply teaching a lot - pretty much every day - but I'll be sure to come on during my prep period. I have some time between searching for cheap flights (for Italy this summer) and a few other things.

Hope you're all doing great!

So good to see you! I LOVED all the Christmas pictures! It put me in the Christmas mood!

aaaaaw this pic of Meca and NIles is so adorable!!!!! I am still so happy for You all of You......and so happy NIles is getting better as well!!!!! How about a group picture of the canines and felines of the house?

Oh.....and Charlie is a perfect........sleeping in the Christmas village....he fits right in with us......Christmas Cat

I will have to try to possibly get them together sometime and take a picture! Not sure how it would work out but could try! Let's see, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 tortoise and a bird!

Someone left a pillow on the kitchen table, Penny thought it was great !
