Well, hey!
It's New Years Day and Carl's in charge.
You should just join us. Remember the Pines is like the North Pole. All you have to do is close your eye's and believe to get there.
No wonder why Carl feels like celebrating.
Here is why:

Popcorn!!!
Sounds like that little something extra in Carl's blend would help me fly there.
Had a pretty good first day of the year. Got some honey do's taken care of. And got the outside lights taken down, counted and put away. Made some plans for next years out door lights. Our oldest son has headed out to his girlfriends house. My wife and I and our youngest son are enjoying the NCIS marathon. Dreading getting back into the swing of things tomorrow. Since Im self employed I just try to do what needs doing through the Holidays. But I have to play catch up after the first. I think I just want to move to the north pole and be an elf. :O
The school cancellations are now up to 32, but our town is still not on the list, yet.
I have to take my mother in law and her dog to the vet tomorrow, her dog is 16 years old and he hasn't eaten anything in a week. We have all wheel drive now, so I volunteered to bring them so she doesn't miss the appointment due to the weather. If you all could, please say a prayer or a thought for her dog Billy, he isn't doing too well.
Happy New Year! Today Ill take down our outside lights. It will take some time. We use 30 strands of 66ft. lights for the house. Plus the fence an arch way and three mega trees I built. Its kind of a tradition to take down the lights, count to see what we need for next year and make notes of what we want to do for the next Christmas. Then later in the evening we go back up in the attic and make a note that says "See boys I told you it would be here before you know it" we put the days hours and minutes and seconds until the next christmas on the note as well as the number of days until we will put it up again. We then put the note in the tree tote with notes from years past. The tradition started years ago when my oldest son said that Christmas decorations are like a time capsule. It always makes us smile when we open the tote on Thanksgiving day to put the tree up, to see the notes. After all this is done today I will get to enjoy one of my newer traditions for the second time. Entering the milestones in my calendar![]()
Re the Christmas movie channels - record as many of them as your box will allow - that way you have some to keep you going until they come on again. If True Movies is anything this year like it was last year, they will show Christmas movies randomly throughout the year. I then added and deleted as I wanted and then this Christmas (as in the one literally just past) I cleared out and started again from scratch!!!! Sounds stupid but it works for me!!!
PS
We watched Jools Holland too!!!
Happy New Year my Christmas Family.

Brand new Countdown 2014!
Happy New Year to all my MMC friends!!!
I think that sounds like a great idea!!!!
There is a house up the street that does a mixture of white lights and multi lights. After Christmas the multi lights come down and red lights go up for Valentines day. Then they swap the red for green, for St. Patrick's day.
